Lasciata l'auto al casello di Pietra Ligure si scende fin sulla costa e si svolta a sinistra per risalire la Valle del Torrente Maremola fino al bivio per il paese di Giustenice.
Giunti alla Frazione di San Lorenzo si seguono le indicazioni per il Monte Carmo e si percorrono gli oltre 11km e 1000m di dislivello fino al Giogo di Giustenice su comoda strada prima asfaltata e poi sterrata.
Arrivati al Giogo si imbocca sulla sinistra il sentiero dell'Alta Via dei Monti Liguri, pedalabile ancora per un breve tratto, per poi lascia spazio agli ultimo 2oom di dislivello di spintage/portage che permettono di raggiungere la vetta del Monte Carmo (1389 mslm).
Inizia la nostra discesa, in direzione sud-ovest (lasciandoci sulla sinistra il Rifugio degli -amici del Carmo) per tenere all'inizio il segnavia AV e poi svoltare a sinistra seguendo il segnavia.
Si continua a scendere su un sentiero a tratti tecnico e a tratti scorrevole (prestare attenzione alla traccia non sempre evidente) fino al bivio per la chiesetta di San Pietro dei Monti.
Continuare sul sentiero segnalato con l'per poi proseguire dritti sul sentierobarrato. (L'svolta a desta).
Il sentiero si fa via via più tecnico (noi l'abbiamo fatto tutto in sella...) e si scende di quota fino a raggiungere, dopo quasi 1100m e 6,8km di singletrack la frazione di Morteo.

Leave the car at the exit of Pietra Ligure is reaching down to the coast and turn left to go up the valley of the Torrente Maremola to the junction for the country of Giustenice.
Reaching the hamlet of San Lorenzo, follow the signs for the Monte Carmo and you travel more than 11km and 1000m of altitude up to the yoke of Giustenice easy road first paved and then dirt.
At the Yoke turn left on the Alta Via dei Monti Ligurian pedaled even for a short distance, and then gives way to the last drop of 2oom of spintage / portage that allow you to reach the summit of Mount Carmo (1389 m).
began our descent, heading south-west ( leaving on the left the refuge of -Friends Carmo) to take the trail to the top AV and then turn left and follow the trail.
It continues to fall on a path that is sometimes technical and sometimes sliding (pay attention the track is not always obvious) to the junction for the church of San Pietro dei Monti.
Continue on the path with the then head straight on sentierobarrato. (The turn to right).
The path gets more and more technical (we did it all in the saddle ...) and descend to altitude until, after nearly 1100m and 6, 8km of singletrack the fraction of Morteo.
