Eine der schönsten Rundtouren auf der Schwäbischen Alb - allerdings nicht am Wochenende zu befahren, da dann das Konfliktpotential mit Wanderern zu hoch ist... Die Tour ist geprägt durch eine nahezu vollständige Singletrail-Schleife entlang des Albtraufes. Der Aufstieg erfolgt über ein Schottersträßchen, dann folgen einige wenige Meter Asphalt durch Grabenstetten, bevor es los geht mit den Trails. Bei Trockenheit traumhaft, da nur wenige Stellen richtig zäh und ruppig sind - bei Nässe dagegen sehr anstrengend, da die vielen Wurzeln und Steine dann zu Rutschparty werden. Viel schöne Ausblicke, historische Highlights, geologische Besonderheiten, und ein Serpentinentrail am Ende geben der ganzen Sache noch die richtige Würze. Die Bilder sind aus mehreren Aufenthalten vor Ort zusammengestückelt... Man sollte etwa 3 1/2 - 5h Fahrzeit mit Pausen einplanen. Wanderer haben wie immer Vorfahrt!

One of the most beautiful round trips on the Swabian Alb - but not to ride on the weekend, because then the potential for conflict with hikers is too high ... The Tour is dominated by an almost complete single trail loop along the Albtraufes. The ascent is via a gravelled road, then follow a few meters of asphalt by grave Stetten, before we go to the trails. If dry, dreamlike, as only a few places really tough and gruff are - when wet, however very stressful, because the many roots and rocks then to slip party. Lots of beautiful views, historic highlights, geological features, and a serpentine trail end up giving the whole thing nor the right flavor. The images are pieced together from several stays on site ... It should be about 3 1/2 - 5 hours driving time schedule with breaks. Hikers have the right of way as always!
