Eine angenehme Rundtour, bei der der Wientalradweg als Einstiegspunkt gewählt wurde. Ich habe den Zugang in der Bergmillergasse gewählt, da man dort auch mit dem Auto parken kann falls man nicht direkt mit dem Bike anfährt. Es geht entlang des Wientales direkt am rückgebauten Wienfluß nach Westen. Kurz nach dem Auhof-Center muss man für ca. 200m auf die Straße um dann gleich wieder ruhig auf sandigem Weg entlang des Flusses bis Unterpurkersdorf zu fahren. Dort muss man für ca 460 m auf die B1 um bei der ersten Möglichkeit (Ampelkreuzung) links auf die B44 abzubiegen. Nach weiteren ca 870m auf der B44 direkt an einer Fußgängerampel links ab auf den markierten und ausgeschilderten Radweg/Radroute in Richtung Wienerwaldsee. Der Weg führt über sandige Wege, Schotterstraßen und verkehrsberuhigte Asphaltstraßen teils durch die Natur, teils durch ruhige Wohngegenden. Mehrmals kommt man zurück auf die B44, kann dort jedoch immer am kombinierten Fahr-und Gehweg fahren, ein Befahren der Bundesstrssse ist nun nicht mehr zwingend notwendig - das macht die Tour für Kinder deutlich ungefährlicher. Schliesslich erreicht man - am Ragweg entlang der B44 den Wienerwaldsee, den wir umrunden. Mehrfach laden Bänke und Hinweistafeln zu einer Rast ein,bemerkenswert ist die Biberwarte bzw. die sumpfige Gegend am westlichen Ende des Sees wo die Biber so ziemlich alles abgeholzt haben. An der Westspitze des Sees drehen wirnach Südosten und folgen dem See bis zu seiner südlichen Spitze. Wir unterfahren die Westautobahn und folgen wir dem Radweg bis dieser an einer Kreuzung nach rechts abbiegt- an ebendieser Kreuzung biegen wir links ab und folgen in vorerst sanfter Steigung einer wenig befahrenen Asphaltstraße, die letztendlich ordentlich ansteigt. Diese Steigung ist auch schon die Schlimmste auf der ganzen Strecke, mit ein wenig Westwind im Rücken ist sie letztendlich auch mit Kindern machbar. Oben angelangt sieht und hört man links bereits die Westautobahn. Ab jetzt halten wir uns auf geschotterten Forststrassen parallel zur Autobahn, wobei wir lange den Hinweisschildern der Georgenbergstrecke folgen, jedoch nicht mit ihr links abbiegen, sonden der Autobahn folgen bis wir nach einer Abfahrt aus dem Wald auf eine große Wiese kommen, die von Hochspannungsmasten gequert wird. Rechts ginge es über die Autobahn zur Tour um den Lainzer Tiergarten, wir biegen allerdings links ab und folgen dem Weg bis er zur Asphaltstraße wird. Unmittelbar an deren Beginn geht es rechts durch den Wald über die MTB Strecke entlang der Mauer des Lainzer Tiergartens steil bergab duch den Wald. Nach viel zu kurzer Abfahrt finden wir uns in der Ebene des Auhofes wieder, wir folgen der Mauer auf asphaltiertem Radweg bis zur Fußgängerbrücke über die B1, nehmen die Brücke und sind nach wenigen hundert Metern wieder am Wientalradweg, dem wir bis zu unserem Einstiegspunkt folgen... A pleasant round trip, in the Wientalradweg was chosen as the entry point. I chose the access in the Bergmillergasse because you can park there by car if you does not move directly to the bike. It goes along the valley Vienna directly at the decommissioned Wienfluss west. Shortly after the Auhof-Center you need for about 200 meters on the street and then right back quiet to drive on sandy road along the river to Unterpurkersdorf. There you have for about 460 m to the B1 at the first opportunity (traffic lights) of turning on the left B44. After a further 870m on the B44 directly to a pedestrian traffic light turn left onto the marked and signposted cycle path / cycle route towards Wienerwaldsee. The trail leads across sandy roads, gravel roads and asphalt roads with little traffic and partly by nature, partly through quiet residential areas. Several times to get back on the B44, but there can always go on the combined cycle and walkway, a drive in the Bundesstrssse is now no longer necessary - that makes the tour for children significantly less dangerous. Finally you reach - on Ragweg along the B44 to Wienerwaldsee we circumnavigate. At the western tip of the lake turn wirnach southeast and follow the lake to its southern tip. We take the West motorway and we follow the cycle path to this abbiegt- at an intersection right at this very intersection, turn left and follow the time being gentle slope of a little-used asphalt road leading ultimately neat. This slope is already the worst on the whole route, with a little West wind behind them is ultimately feasible even with children. Once at the top you can see and hear already left the West motorway. From now on we keep on gravel forest roads parallel to the highway, where we long to follow the signs to the George Mountain Road, but do not turn to her left, probes the highway until we come to a departure from the forest on a large meadow crossed by pylons will.
