Die Tour startet in Gleiszellen am Hotel Südpfalz Terrassen. Sie zeigt uns den Pfälzerwald von seiner schönen Seite und führt uns bis nach Wissembourg. Von hier aus geht es durch die Weinberge zurück nach Gleiszellen. Da für die Besichtigung von Wissembourg einige Zeit benötigt, sollte man sich am Anfang nicht zu lange aufhalten. Die erste längere Pause ist am Bärenbrunnerhof sinnvoll. Da der Wanderweg nach Klingenmünster am Anfang der Tour sehr schwierig ist (Treppen) und dann steil bergauf führt, kann man ihn auch umfahren (Radweg durch Klingenmünster und an der Pfalzklinik die Asphaltstraße zur Burg Landeck).
