Roudtour um den sog. Mitterberg. Startpunkt ist St. Josef direkt am Kalteresee, aber die Tour kann natürlich auch von Kaltern oder Eppan/St. Michael gestartet werden. Ich bin die Topur mit dem MTB gefahren, aber es ist auch mit einem Trekking-Bike ohne weiteres machbar. Von St. Josef geht es ein Stück am Kalterersee entlang und dann auf den Fernradweg an der Etsch entlang Richtung Bozen. Hier kann Tempo gebolzt werden, denn der Radweg ist meistens schnurgerade und fast eine Radautobahn. Kurz vor Bozen geht der Radweg dann rechts ab in Richtung Eppan und steigt auf der alten Bahnstrecke sanft von rd. 250m auf rd. 400m an. Dabei hat man immer wieder schöne Ausblicke ins Tal und auf die Weinberge. Auch bei großer Hitze ist der "Berg" machbar, denn es geht sehr oft durch den kühlen Wald. In Eppan St. Michael ist dann auch der höchste Punkt erreicht und es geht durch ein schönes Tal unterhalb von Kaltern zurück an den See.
