Spitzenroute für MTBs von Krün bis Garmisch entlang am Nordhang des Zugspitzmassivs. Zurück gehts nördlich von Garmisch-Partenkirchen um die Wank (1780m) bis runter nach Krün. Die Hintour führt durch das Voralpenland vorbei am Hotel Kranzbach und dem Kloster Elmau. Zwei wunderschöne Flecken und historisch sehr wertvolle Gebäude. Ein Fototermin davor ist Pflicht! Der Höhenzug ist nicht unterschätzen, bietet er doch sehr viel Abwechslung aus breiter Straße (Autos müssen hier Maut zahlen, sind deshalb nicht viele unterwegs!), den Klassikern Waldweg, Schotterweg, befestigte Sandwege aber auch kleine Trails. Rund um den Wank sind weniger Besucher unterwegs, da aufgrund der nahen Zugspitze dies wohl nicht so attraktiv erscheint. Aber die Route ist trotzdem aufregend, da diese zunächst direkt von Garmisch Innenstadt hoch auf die Quelle des Kaltwassergraben führt. Im Mittel auf einer Höhe von ca. 1300m. Bergab gehts dann zügig voran vorbei an der Schweizer Alpe bis zurück nach Kruen.
