Viele kurze, aber teilweise anspruchsvolle Anstiege sowie eine abwechslungsreiche und unberührte Landschaft kennzeichnen diese Tour. Vom Waldbad bei Rappottenstein geht’s auf Asphalt Richtung Burg Rappottenstein, an der wir jedoch nicht unmittelbar vorbeifahren. Auf Forststraßen, Karrenwegen und Singletrails geht’s dann immer weiter in die Wälder hinein, viel bergauf und gelegentlich bergab, mit einigen technischen Passagen. Bis Pernthon ist die Strecke sehr schön und abwechslungsreich, mit zahlreichen eindrucksvollen Granitformationen, dunklen Wäldern und sonnigen Lichtungen. Weiter geht’s relativ eben über Lichtenau, Anschau nach Walterschlag. Nach Walterschlag folgt ein kurzes Stück Wurzeltrail mit Verirrungspotential. Weiter nach Bernreith, Lugendorf und Langschlag. Über Kleingöttfritz geht’s dann zum Großteil auf Asphalt und weniger eindrucksvoll bergab und zurück zum Waldbad. Ein nettes und günstiges Quartier haben wir bei Fam. Die beschriebene Tour folgt zum Großteil der gleichnamigen freigegebenen Strecke aus www.mbike.at.

Many short but challenging climbs and partly a varied and unspoilt scenery characterize this tour. From the forest pool at Rappottenstein It's on asphalt towards the castle Rappottenstein where we do not just pass by. On forest roads, cart tracks and single trails you go then keep going into the woods, lots of uphill and downhill occasionally, with some technical sections. Until Pernthon the track is very nice and varied, with many impressive granite formations, dark forests and sunny glades. Get out relatively flat over Lichtenau, Anschau by Walter shock. After Walter shock followed by a short piece of root Trail with aberration potential. Continue to Bernreith, Lugendorf and long stroke. About Kleingöttfritz it's off to a large extent on asphalt and less impressive downhill and back to the forest pool. We have a nice and cheap accommodation in Fam. Rogner-Steininger in Dietharts (www.rappottenstein.at/Tourismus/urlbauern.htm, Tel. 02828/8394) found. The tour described follows largely the same shared line from www.mbike.at.
