Start und Ziel: Hauptbahnhof Lienz Auf dem Radweg bis Bahnhof Nikolsdorf - als Variante kann man natürlich auch von hier starten -Autoparkmöglichkeit! Rechts über die Draubrücke schöne Landschaft entlang Schotterweg entlang der Drau - Rechts abzweigen Richtung Kalser Schutzhütte (ist beschildert!). Ab nun gehts 10km bergauf - aber: angenehme Steigung !! (bis auf die ersten 300 Höhenmeter!). Forstweg entlang steiler Felswände, meistens der Sonne ausgesetzt und nur kurze Strecken im Schatten der Wälder - immer wieder super Ausblicke ins Tal ! Man radelt durch einen wunderschönen Mischwald: Tannen, Lärchen, Zirben und Laubbäume! Landschaftlich sehr schön angelegte Straße allerdings größtenteils der Strecke grober Schotter ! Achtung: Entlang dieser Strecke gibt es nirgends eine Möglichkeit Wasser nachzufüllen !!! Einkehren in Kalser Schutzhütte und / oder Hochstadlhaus mit schöner Terrasse und super Aussicht ins Tal ! Zurück bis Lienz wieder die gleiche Strecke!

Start and finish: Hauptbahnhof Lienz on the bike path to Nikol village train station - as a variant of course you can also start from here -Autoparkmöglichkeit! Right on the Draubrücke beautiful scenery along dirt road along the river Drava - Right Turn off towards Kals Refuge (signposted). From now 10km go uphill - but: pleasant slope !! (Except for the first 300 meters of altitude). Forest along steep rock walls, mostly exposed to the sun and only short distances in the shade of the woods - again great views of the valley! You cycle through a beautiful mixed forest: pine, larch, pine, and deciduous trees! Very scenic road created although much of the rough gravel track! Note: Along this route there is nowhere to refill a water way !!! Stop off in the Kals shelter and / or high barn house with beautiful terrace and great views of the valley! Back to Lienz again the same distance!
