La GF dei Maxei è un classico organizzato con molta cura da Rusty Bike Team, da qualche anno. Il tracciato attraversa panorami mozzaviato nell'entroterra di Imperia con viste meravigliose. Alle discese divertenti e guidabili si alternano delle salitone sotto il sole, che spezzano le gambe. Il tutto condito da paesini bellissimi, borghi e chiesette che si alternano per rendere il giro meno faticoso. Lo considero un must perchè coniuga molto bene fatica, divertimento e bellezza, da fare tutto l'anno, ma non in agosto per il troppo caldo.
Fra Giugno e Ottobre circa la frutta ed acqua non mancano mai lungo il percorso (beh l'acqua c'è sempre).Il tracciato che ho seguito copre quello della gara al 90%, io ho aggiunto alcune mulattiere delle edizioni passate che sono state tolte nel 2012 (per problemi di passaggio) e inoltre il fatto che sono partito da Vasia e non da Pontedassio.
The GF of Maxei is a classic organized carefully by Rusty Bike Team, for some years. The route crosses mozzaviato views in the hinterland of Imperia with beautiful views. The fun and driveable descents alternate the salitone under the sun that break the legs. All this is topped by beautiful villages, towns and churches that take turns to make the tour less tiring. I consider it a must because it combines very good effort, fun and beauty, to do all year, but not in August because of the heat.
Between June and October about the fruit and water never fail along the way (well water there is always) .The path that I followed that covers 90% of the race, I have added some mule tracks of past editions that we have been removed in 2012 (for passage of problems) and also the fact that are party from Vasia and not from Pontedassio.
