Temperatur 13,5°C, Puls 135, der Helm sitzt! Die asphaltierten Serpentinen des Monte Velo führen uns in einer moderaten Steigung von durchschnittlich ca. 9% nach oben. Je höher wir steigen, desto schöner wird die Aussicht nach Arco hinunter und in Richtung Gardasee. Gestartet sind wir in Torbole am Hotel Santoni. Die ersten 500hm sind nach 60 Minuten geschafft... Wir kommen an eine Kreuzung und fahren weiter in Richtung Malga Zanga. Malga Zanga ist ein Restaurant & Hotel, wer will kann dort oben Rast machen, man hat auch einen guten Ausblick und wer nichts essen will kann sich ja die Höhenmeter sparen und unten an der Weggabelung die linke Seite wählen und weiterfahren in Richtung Passo due Sassi. Ab hier beginnt dann auch die Schotterstrecke. Die Auffahrt am Monte Velo verlief zum größtenteil im Schatten und dieser Teil auf dem Schotter verläuft meißt in der Sonne. Aber, man hat zum Teil eine tolle Aussicht auf den Gardasee. Der Einstiegspunkt zum Pinaura-Trail ist im Track gekennzeichnet. Der Anfang des Trails ist wohl der heftigste Teil, danach geht es zwar weiterhin heftig zur Sache, aber mit gleichbleibender Schwierigkeit. Das angenehme am Pinaura ist, dass es nur wenig loses Gestein gibt und das fast immer auf festem Fels hinabgefahren wird. Der zwar zum Teil stark zerklüftet ist, aber das stört nicht weiter, im Gegenteil das macht ihn nur noch reizvoller und interessanter. Hier könnten z.B. auch Biker auf ihre Kosten kommen, die nicht so auf das technisch fahren aus sind... Der Pinaura ist auf alle Fälle ein Genußtrail, der einen fordert aber nicht überfordert. Noch dazu besteht die Möglichkeit an den Stellen wo der Trail die Strasse kreuzt ihn zu verlaßen und dann auf Asphalt weiter zu fahren... Wir sind 2 Tage zuvor den 601 vom Altissimo abgefahren, der hat wesentlich mehr Substanz und Konzentration gefordert als es der Pinauara es für sich tat... Leider haben wir bis ca. 350hm vor Schluss des Pinaura den letzten Einstiegspunkt nicht gefunden und sind dann die Asphaltstrasse hinunter nach Arco gefahren, aber das war auch sehr schön, da es rasant zur Sache ging... Der Rückweg führt uns zurück nach Torbole ins Hotel Santoni.
