Wernigerode * Bohlweg * Friederikental * Annaweg * Kaiserweg * Kleines Pfaffental * Königsweg * Eisergrund * Vorderer Voigtstiegberg * Wernigeröder Straße/Mühlental * Kaltes Tal * Die Winde * Salzbergstraße Am 24.08.2012 habe ich mich kurz entschlossen noch ein paar Kilometer unter den Sattel zu nehmen. Kurz nach dem Mittagsessen ging es los in Richtung Friederikental. Ich hatte vor noch einmal über den Annaweg ins Kleine Pfaffental zu biken. Am Ende des Friederikental ging es bergauf zum Belle Aliance Platz. Von dort aus folgen wir dem Kaiserweg. Es geht immer leicht bergauf oder parallel zum Hang bis ins Kleine Pfaffental. Man kann am Sieben Börner kurz Rast machen um den sehr schönen Blick hinunter nach Wernigerode, dem Schloss und ins Mühlental zu genießen. Im Kleinen Pfaffental biken wir links hinauf bis zur Wegekreuzung Herrmannsweg und Königsweg. Wir halten uns rechts und folgen dem Königsweg bis zum Eisergrund. Der Eisergrund führt hinauf bis zum Schaubergwerk Büchenberg. Wir folgen dem Eisergrund aber nur ca. 200 m und folgen dann dem Forstweg rechts in Richtung Vorderer Voigtstiegberg. Der Forstweg geht eigentlich immer parallel um den Höhenzug. Er endet an der B244 (Wernigeröder Straße) kurz über dem Bolmke. Nun geht es ein Stück die B244 hinab. An der Einfahrt zum Parkplatz Kaltes Tal biegen wir ab um noch ein paar Kilometer in die Beine zu bekommen. Also biken wir ins Kalte Tal hinauf bis zum Försterplatz um dann über die Winde hinab zu fahren. So sind es dann an diesem Nachmittag noch 23 km geworden.

Shortly after lunch we started towards Friederikental. I had to bike to the Small Pfaffental over the Annaweg not have to. At the end of Friederikental it went uphill to Belle Aliance place. From there we follow the Kaiserweg. It's always slightly uphill or parallel to the slope down to the Small Pfaffental. One can at Seven Börner make short rest down to Wernigerode to the very nice view to enjoy the castle and the windmills. In Small Pfaffental we cycle left up to the crossroads Herrmannsweg and royal. We keep right and follow the royal road to Eisergrund. The Eisergrund leads up to the mine Büchenberg. We follow the Eisergrund but only about 200 m and then follow the forest right in the direction of Front Voigt Stieg mountain. The forest is almost always parallel to the ridge. It ends at the B244 (Wernigeröder road) just above the Bolmke. Now it is a piece down the B244. At the entrance to the parking lot Cold valley we turn to get a few more miles in the legs off. So we cycle into the cold valley up to the forester place to drive then down on the winch. It will then become that afternoon still 23 km away.
