Wellige Mountainbike-Rundtour auf möglichst verkehrsfreien Asphalt, Schotter- und Waldwegen. Fahrtechnisch weitgehend einfach, konditionell mittel. Die Tour führt durch das Hinterland des Bodensees zur Klosterkirche Birnau (www.birnau.de), zum Weltkulturerbe Pfahlbauten (www.pfahlbauten.de) in Unteruhldingen und vorbei an weiteren interessanten Orten. Wir starten an der Sporthalle in Owingen und rollen uns - vorbei am Andelshofer Weiher - in Richtung Überlingen ein. Nachdem wir den Dunstkreis des obligatorischen amerikanischen Schnellrestaurants hinter uns gelassen haben, passieren wir ein Waldstück und kommen über einen netten Singletrail zum Sportpark Altbirnau. Die Skateranlage ist ein tolles Trainingsgelände für allerlei rollende Gefährte, aber für Mountainbikes gibt es besseres: ein paar kurze Trailabschnitte, teilweise mit Stufen, führen ins Tal hinunter (wer das lieber auslassen möchte, fährt an der Schranke einfach geradeaus weiter). Gemächlich führt der Schotterweg nun durch den Wald, bis wir unvermittelt am Hofgut Birnau vorbei zur berühmten Barockkirche selbst gelangen. Das vom Autoverkehr umtoste Kirchlein kann natürlich besichtigt werden; eine Runde über den Vorplatz der Kirche ist auf jeden Fall ein Muss, um den tollen Blick auf den Bodanrück, die Insel Mainau und bei guter Sicht auf die Alpen nicht zu verpassen. Eine kurze Steilabfahrt bringt uns dann dem See noch näher, und wir kommen durch das malerische Seefelden nach Unteruhldingen. Das Pfahlbaumuseum kann man gar nicht verfehlen, im Sommer ist der Ort allerdings oft überlaufen. Kaum hat man Unteruhldingen verlassen, wird es auf dem Weg durch Oberuhldingen wesentlich ruhiger und einsamer. Direkt am Weg liegt das Reptilienhaus (www.reptilienhaus.de) mit seinen exotischen Bewohnern. Am Wasserwerk geht es links, vorbei an Fischweihern radeln wir nach Deisendorf. Ein kurzer Anstieg führt aus dem Ort hinaus, ein weiterer zum Überlinger Gewerbegebiet. Dieses verlassen wir über die Reutehöfe und gelangen durch das Auental zurück zum Ausgangspunkt nach Owingen.

Undulating mountain bike loop tour on traffic-free as possible asphalt, gravel and forest roads. Driving technique largely easy, medium condition. The tour takes you through the hinterland of Lake Constance to Birnau (www.birnau.de), World Heritage stilt houses (www.pfahlbauten.de) in Unteruhldingen , and passing other interesting places. We start at the sports hall in Owingen and roll us - past the Andelshof pond - towards Überlingen a. After the orbit of the compulsory 've left the American fast-food restaurants behind us, We pass a forest and come upon a nice single trail to the sports park Altbirnau. The skate park & ??nbsp;'s a great training ground for all kinds of rolling fellow, but for mountain bikes are & nbsp and it better: a few short trail sections, some with steps leading down into the valley (who wants to miss the rather driving at the barrier just straight ahead). Leisurely the dirt road now leads through the forest until we abruptly at Hofgut Birnau by the famous get themselves; Baroque Church & nbsp. The from traffic umtoste church can of course be visited; a round on the front of the church is definitely a must in order not to miss the great view of the Bodanrück, the island Mainau and with good views of the Alps. A short steep descent brings us then to the lake in more detail, and we come through the picturesque Seefelden to Unteruhldingen. The Pfahlbaumuseum can not miss it, in the summer the place is, however, often crowded. As soon as you leave Unteruhldingen, it is on the way by Oberuhldingen much quieter and lonelier. Directly on the way the reptile house (www.reptilienhaus.de), with its exotic inhabitants. At the waterworks turn left, past fish ponds we cycle to Deisendorf. A short climb leads from the Place addition, another Überlinger to commercial area. This we leave on the Reute yards and pass through the Auental back to the starting point after Owingen.
