Das Ziel der Tour war ursprünglich ein anderes, daher ein kleiner Umweg bei der Anfahrt. Es besteht auch die Möglichkeit den Radweg nach Algund zu nutzen, der entlang der Etsch verläuft. Dieser führt uns auch direkt zur Abzweigung nach Vellau der Straße Algund - Töll. Von dort geht es auf Asphalt mäßig ansteigend bis nach Vellau. Wir fahren kurz vor Erreichen der Kirche links ab auf die Straße, die uns Richtung Kienegger - Oberplatzer - Leiteralm führt. Bis zum Oberplatzer soll die Straße demnächst einen Asphaltbelag bekommen. Man kann die Tour jederzeit verkürzen, in Vellau gibt es einige gute Einkehrmöglichkeiten, das nächste Ziel kann das Gasthaus Kienegger sein auf etwa 1200 MH, der Oberplatzer auf 1350 HM oder es gibt die Möglichkeit die Tour auf Forststraße bis zur Leiteralm auf etwa 1500 HM zu verlängern. Die Abfahrt erfolgt auf dem gleichen Weg. Es gibt natürlich auch interessante Trials, aber vor einigen steht ein Verbotsschild und die Förster sind anscheinend nicht gnädig.

You can always shorten the tour, in Vellau there are some good places of interest and the next destination, the guest house Kienegger be at about 1200 MH, the Oberplatzer 1350 HM or there is the possibility of the tour on forestry road to the Leiteralm to about 1500 HM extend. Departure is on the same path. There are also interesting Trials, but a few is a prohibition sign and the Rangers are apparently not gracious.
