Il giro è una variante del 'Monte delle Rose' di Barbonis.
Si parte da Castelsantangelo e si sale verso Nocelleto e si continua sino alla Croce della Cardosa. Si prende il Sentiero Europeo E1 in direzione Castelluccio, sentiero che passerà nei pressi del Monte delle Rose. Decidiamo di vedere come è il sentiero che conduce a Castelluccio. Si presenta abbastanza simile al tratto saliscendi che abbiamo fatto e decidiamo di scendere per Val Canatra, per fare un po' di discesa. La prima parte è leggermente tecnica, poi diventa una forestale di montagna. Risaliamo verso Forca di Gualdo per la provinciale e poi cerchiamo il sentiero che scende nella Valle dell'Acqua Gilarda, anche detta Valle delle Farfalle, che il CAI ha recentemente pulito e segnato. Seguendo i segni abbandoniamo la prima parte, che è una forestale, per entrare in una divertente mulattiera single track che scende dentro la faggeta. Questo tratto è molto divertente, ma ripido e smosso, con alcuni tratti abbastanza tecnici e può creare problemi a chi non può abbassare la sella. The ride is a variation of the 'Monte delle Rose' of barbonis.
It starts from Castelsantangelo and rise to Nocelleto and continue to the Cross of Cardosa. You take the European path E1 in direction Castelluccio, a path which passes near Mount Rose. We decided to see how it is the path that leads to Castelluccio. It looks quite similar to the sudden ups and downs that we did and we decided to go down to Val Canatra, to do a little 'down. The first part is slightly technical, then it becomes a mountain forest. We go to the Forca di Gualdo for the provincial and then look for the path that leads down to the Valley Water Gilarda, also known as the Valley of the Butterflies, the CAI has recently cleaned and sealed. Following the signs we leave the first part, which is a forest, to enter into a fun single track trail that descends into the beech forest. This stretch is very funny, but steep and loose, with some rather technical and can create problems for those who can not lower the saddle.
