Il Monte Savucco, con i suoi 1200m circa di altezza, si trova al culmine di un affascinante e panoramico crinale montuoso costituito a dal Monte Vicito, Pizzo dell’Arco e da Capo Castello.
Ai piedi del Monte Ceresa, il Monte Savucco può essere aggredito da diversi versanti. Nel presente itinerario scegliamo di partire da Quintodecimo e di salire da Tallacano attraverso il Carpineto. Di conseguenza andiamo a percorrere il crinale montuoso toccando il Monte Vicito. Superata una zona prativa inizia l’arrampicata alla bici a spalla per un sentiero che striscia ripido tra l’arenaria. Dal Savucco è possibile godere di una grandiosa visuale sul Fosso di Novele e sulla selvaggia Laga con il Monte Comunitore e Macera della Morte. Si inizia a scendere su piacevole single track che serpeggia tra boschi di pini e giunge alla sella del Savucco dove insiste una palina segnaletica del C.A.I. Svoltiamo a sx per un più impegnativo sentiero che porta al suggestivo borgo di Peracchia. La via del ritorno passa per uno dei fossati più incantevoli dell’Appennino Perduto ossia il Fosso di Novele. Costeggiato il fiume per un breve tratto, con un accettabile dispendio di energie ed allungando i tempi di percorrenza di circa un’ora, e possibile raggiungere l’antico insediamento di Sasso Miglio. Per chi preferisse invece direttamente la via del ritorno non ha che da affrontare il selvaggio fossato solcato dal Rio Novele sino ad uscire a due passi dall’omonimo borgo. Transitati nel paesino, posto sotto di questo, parte l’ultimo tratto di sentiero che precipita nel bel mezzo di Quintodecimo.

the foot of the Monte Ceresa, Mount Savucco can be attacked from different sides. In this route we choose to start from Quintodecimo and go up from Tallacano through Carpineto. As a result we are going to go along the mountain ridge touching the Monte Vicito. Beyond a grassy area starts climbing the bike to shoulder along a path that moves between steep sandstone. From Savucco you can enjoy a magnificent view over the Fosso di Novele and wild Laga with Mount Comunitore and Macera of Death. It starts to go down on nice single track that winds through pine forests and reach the saddle where the Savucco insists a signpost of the CAI We turn to the left for a more challenging path that leads to the charming village of Peracchia. The return route passes through one of the most enchanting of the Apennines ditches Lost namely the Fosso di Novele. Skirted the river for a short distance, with an acceptable amount of energy and lengthening journey times of about an hour, and can reach the ancient settlement of Sasso Mile. For those who prefer instead directly the way back he only has to face the wild moat crossed by the Rio Novele until it exits just a few steps from the homonymous village. Passed in the village, located below this, except for the last stretch of trail that falls in the middle of Quintodecimo.
