Partenza da Castel San Pietro Terme(108 m slm) per fare una quindicina di km in piana nella Valle del Sillaro su strada ghiaiata lungofiume e per un lungo tratto asfaltata ma praticamente deserta (via San Martino, poi via Fiagnano, poi via Beccara) fino ad attraversare un ponte sul torrente Sillaro, per arrivare a Fornace (San Clemente),da cui si imbocca via Calvanella attraversando via Viara.
Via Calvanella, completamente ghiaiata sale fino "dietro" i ripetitori televisivi di Monte Calderaro, congiungendosi a via Tanari nel punto in cui diventa Via Collina. Si prosegue quindi a sinistra fino all'indicazione Ca' del Vento, dove si imbocca la strada ghiaiata a sinistra (sempre via Collina), che tra saliscendi vari attraversa anche boschi di castagni.
Una volta ridiventata asfaltata proseguire sempre a sinistra su via Sant'Anna in un tratto di salita molto ripida; arrivati in cima a questo breve tratto di strada (624 m slm) si può ammirare lo splendido panorama sulla valle dell'Idice e lo splendido Monte delle Formiche col santuario arroccato in vetta, ma... bando alle ciancie altrimenti ci si perde, si deve imboccare una carrareccia sulla sinistra al cui inizio è posta una sbarra per vietarne l'accesso.
Breve tratto in leggera salita per poi cominciare una impegnativa e ripida seppur breve discesa el bosco con fondo di terra mossa mista a sassi e pietre poco simpatiche (per intenderci, o la si percorre decisi, o è meglio farsela a piedi).
Arrivati fuori dal bosco si continua dritti lasciandosi il bosco a destra e un campo a sinistra e si arriva scendendo fino a dei calanchi che si dovranno attraversare a piedi vista la pessima condizione del fondo argilloso.
Si continua a salire fino ad arrivare su un sentiero in piano che si congiunge a via Ca' dei Masi, strada asfaltata che da via Viara arriva a Monterenzio. Si imbocca la strada asfaltata in discesa e la si percorre tutta fino ad un incrocio con Via Viara, dove voltando a sinistra si ritorna in direzione Castel San Pietro Terme fino a Fornace.
Da qui si può riprendere il ponte per ripercorrere in senso inverso la parte iniziale dell'itinerario oppure si rimane su via Viara fino a Castel San Pietro Terme. Parcheggio vicino alla Fonte Fegatella (di fronte alla gelateria "La Terrazza") sul viale delle Terme
Departure from Castel San Pietro Terme (108 m asl) to fifteen miles in the flat valley of meadows; gravel road embankment and a long stretch of tarmac but practically deserted (via San Martino, Fiagnano then off, then off Beccara) until to cross a bridge over the river meadows;, to get to Hell (San Clemente), from which we take away Calvanella crossing via Viara. zona Via Calvanella completely gravel climb up "behind" the television repeaters Monte Calderaro, joining in via Tanari the point where it becomes Via Collina. We then continue to the left until you see the Ca 'del Vento, where you take the gravel road to the left (always via Hill), which also passes through several ups and downs among chestnut woods.
Once again become more and continue to the left on the asphalt Via Sant'Anna in a stretch of very steep; arrived at the top of this short stretch of road (624 m above sea level) you can admire the beautiful view over the valley and the beautiful Monte dell'Idice of Ants with the shrine perched at the top, but ... no more talk or you will lose, you must take a cart on the left at the beginning of which is placed a barrier to prohibit access.
Short stretch slightly uphill and then begin a challenging and steep albeit short descent and wood-bottom earth mover mixed with stones and little stones funny (to understand or follow it decided, or is it better to have it on foot).
Once out of the woods and continue straight on leaving the forest to the right and left field and you get down to the badlands that you will trek to view the bad condition of the clay bottom.
Keep climbing until you get on a flat path which is connected via a Ca 'dei Masi, paved road that reaches from street Viara Monterenzio. Take the paved road down the hill and follow it all up to an intersection with Via Viara, where turning left takes you back in the direction of Castel San Pietro Terme to Hell.
From here you can take the bridge to go over in the sense reverse the initial part of the route, or you stay on via Viara to Castel San Pietro Terme. Parking next to the Source Fegatella (in front of the ice cream shop "La Terrazza") on the avenue of Terme
