Per quanto riguarda la salita all’abitato di San Giorgio si rinvia al seguente linkGiunti al paese, in prossimità di una scultura su roccia si prende a sx una strada che poco più avanti presenta una biforcazione. Mantenendosi sempre sulla sx si giunge in poco tempo ad un cancelletto per il pascolo che segna l’inizio di una lunga via pastorale. Dopo una serie di saliscendi in single track approdiamo su una grossa piana erbosa ove il sentiero più marcato devia verso dx. Qui bisogna fare molta attenzione, la nostra via di discesa è nascosta sulla sinistra pertanto costeggiando alcune querce si riesce ad individuare la traccia che precipita verso Santa Croce. Il sentiero torna ad essere evidente e lo si segue tortuosamente attraversando una paradisiaca lecceta fino alla base del fossato per uscire infine sul’asfalto. Giriamo a sx , entriamo a Santa Croce e scivoliamo verso il fiume Vomano percorrendo il secondo tratto di discesa non meno divertente del primo. Giunti poco prima del ponticello sul fiume svoltiamo a sx e poi subito a dx andando ad imboccare una piacevole traccia che costeggia il Vomano fino ad uscire alle porte di Montorio.

Always keeping on the left will take you quickly to a gate to the pasture which marks the beginning of a long pastoral way. After a series of ups and downs in single track we land on a large grassy plain where the trail branches off to the right more marked. Here we must be very careful, our descent route is hidden on the left, therefore, some oak skirting you can not find the track that rushes to the Holy Cross. The trail becomes evident and follow it tortuously through a heavenly lecceta to the base of the ditch to get out finally sul'asfalto. We turn to the left, we enter Holy Cross and glide towards the river Vomano along the second part of the descent no less entertaining than the first. Arrived just before the bridge over the river turn left and then immediately right going to take a nice trail along the Vomano until you leave the gates of Montorio.
