NOTA 1) Oltre al parcheggio nel punto inizio traccia (Loc. Paludi, presso Hotel Dante)
sono stati indicati altri 2 possibili parcheggi (P1 e P2) nel paese di Ponte delle Alpi.
NOTA 2) Giunti nel punto wp M q. 610 si potrebbe accorciare il giro di circa 12 Km e 150 m di dislivello, rinunciando al tratto: Soffranco - Mezzocanale, dove si trova l'antica Trattoria da Ninetta e varcando direttamente il ponte sul Maè.
DESCRIZIONE: Dal park presso l'Hotel Dante, si attraversa quasi subito la SS 51 per poi risalire su tratturi e tracce prative i pendii a sud di Piaia. Qui giunti, attraverso un inedito sentierino si scende a Lastreghe e quindi allo storico ponte sul Piave. Ci si porta alla periferia ovest di Ponte Nelle Alpi (vicino al park wp P1) quindi si scende alla golena del Piave, seguendone poi il corso per alcuni Km. Risaliti alla SS per Belluno, la si attraversa e si arriva a Safforze, nei pressi di un'antica villa. Una pista ciclopedonale di recente costruzione permette ora di arrivare facilmente a Polpet; la strada resta alta e panoramica sulla valle quindi piega in dir. nord fino a raggiungere Pian di Vedoia.
Per lungo tratto si percorre la vecchia statale rasentando la ferrovia per Calalzo fino a Fortogna; poi si devia verso monte tenendosi a lato di una zona artigianale e guadando il Torrente Desedan su ghiaione quasi sempre asciutto. Poco dopo, lasciata sulla sx la strada per Pian Caiada, si prosegue fino al borgo di Faè Alto. Ad inizio paese si deve deviare a dx per una ripida scalinata (non ciclabile) che sovrappassa la ferrovia e porta dopo circa 100 m a Faè Basso, nei pressi del noto ristorante "4 Valli". Sottopassata la statale si percorre un tratto parallelo ad essa in zona artigianale (periferia sud di Longarone). Dal wp K, si dovrà percorrere un breve ttratto di SS (meno di 500 m ) e poi svoltare a Sx pre Pirago.
NOTA: la manovra di attraversamento non sarebbe qui consentita per cui bisognerebbe restare sulla SS fino a Longarone ....
Da Pirago ci si porta a ridosso del monte sul lato sx della Val Zoldana (Dx orografica del torrente Maè); la strada, dalla pendenza assai irregolare, alterna tratti asfaltati al altri con ottimo fondo sterrato. Giunti nel wp M si potrebbe accorciare svoltando in discesa per il Ponte di Igne (vedi NOTA 2) ma se non vi sono validi motivi per rinunciare, vi consiglio di proseguire; infatti la valle è stupenda: dal bosco si esce spesso in radure che offrono scorci panoramici sul paesino di Igne e sulle cime dal lato opposto e potrete anche ammirare 2 notevoli cascate, prima di attraversare il paesino di Soffranco. Poco dopo, una ripida rampa cementata preannuncia il punto di quota massima q. 645. Una breve discesa, un ponticello sospeso sul Maè e vi troverete di fronte all'antica trattoria da Ninetta (che non esitiamo a consigliarvi per l'ottima e rinomata cucina).
Riposati e ristorati, si torna a ritroso fino al wp M dove stavolta si scende verso sx fino al Ponte Igne. Sospeso a 100 m sul fondo del Maè, fa una certa "impressione" ma è abbastanza stabile e si può percorrere in sella senza problemi. Guadagnata l'altra sponda si percorre velocemente un Km di SS, fino all'imbocco di una galleria che si evita deviando a dx sulla vecchia sede. A Longarone ci si porta sulla sx Piave passando per Dogna e Provagna. In alcuni tratti si evita l'asfalto entrando nella pineta che ci separa dal letto del Piave poi si risale a Soverzene. Resta ora il suggestivo tratto che collega a Paiane (in Alpago) costretto tra la roccia ed il Piave con passerelle sospese e gallerie (già descritto nel percorso n° 247 Di qua e di la del Piave) e che segue a breve distanza il canale Enel fino alla Località Paludi. Attraversata la zona artigianale si ritrova la SS 51, nei pressi dell'Hotel Dante da cui è iniziato il giro.
Usciti dal casello di Belluno dell'A27, alla rotatoria si prende a dx per Treviso; dopo circa 1,5 Km si arriva alla zona atrigianale (Loc. Paludi) dove sulla sx è ben visibile l'ampio parcheggio, subito prima dell'Hotel Dante.
Provenendo invece dall'Alpago, dal bivio "La Secca", si procede sulla SS 51 per circa 2,5 Km in dir di Belluno per arrivare all' Hotel Dante (sulla dx).

NOTE 1) In addition to the parking lot in the beginning point track (Loc. Marshes, at Hotel Dante)
other 2 have been shown possible car parks (P1 and P2) in the village of Ponte delle Alpi.
NOTE 2) When you reach the point wp M q. 610 you could shorten the span of about 12 km and 150 m in altitude, giving up the stretch: Soffranco - Mezzocanale, where is the old Trattoria da Ninette and crossing the bridge over the Mae directly.
DESCRIPTION: From park at the Hotel Dante, cross almost immediately the SS 51 and then up on sheep tracks and traces grassy slopes south of Piaia. Here come through an unusual path you go down to Lastreghe and then to the historic bridge over the Piave. It moves to the suburbs west of Ponte Nelle Alpi (near the park wp P1) then you go down to the floodplain of the Piave, then by following the course for a few miles. Climbed back to SS Belluno, cross it and you get to Safforze near of an ancient villa. A pedestrian trail recently built now allows men to get to Polpet; the road remains high over the valley and then fold in dir. north until you reach Pian di Vedoia.
For a long stretch, go along the old road skirting the railroad to Calalzo to Fortogna; then we turn towards the mountain holding to the side of a craft area and fording the creek Desedan on scree almost always dry. Soon after, left the road on the left for Pian Caiada, continue to the village of Faè Alto. At the beginning of the country you have to deviate to the right for a steep staircase (not path) that sovrappassa rail and port after about 100 Faè Basso, near the famous restaurant "4 Valleys". Pass below the state along a section parallel to it in the craft area (southern suburbs of Spar). Since wp K, you will have to walk a short ttratto of SS (less than 500 m) and then turn Left pre Pirago.
NOTE: The maneuver of crossing would not be allowed here on why you should stay on the SS until Spar ..
.. From there Pirago leading to the back of the hill on the left side of the Val Zoldana (Right bank of the river Mae); the road, the slope very irregular, alternating paved stretches to the other with great gravel. Once in wp M could shorten turn downhill to the bridge Igne (see NOTE 2), but if there are no compelling reasons to give up, I suggest you go; In fact, the valley is wonderful: you come out of the woods often in clearings that offer panoramic views over the village of Igne and the peaks on the opposite side and you can even see 2 major waterfalls, before crossing the village of Soffranco. Shortly after, a steep flight of concrete promises to the point of maximum quota q. 645 A short descent, a suspended bridge on Maè and you will find yourself in front of old-fashioned trattoria by Ninette (who would not hesitate to recommend you for the excellent and renowned cuisine).
Rested and refreshed, we return back to the wp M where this time you go down to the left to the Bridge Igne. Suspended in 100 m at the bottom of Maè, it makes a certain "feeling" but it is quite stable and you can ride along without any problems. Gained the other side you take a quick Km of SS, to the entrance of a tunnel that you avoid turning to the right on the old site. A Spar one door on the left Piave through Dogna and Provagna. In some places it prevents the asphalt entering the pine forest that separates us from the bed of the Piave then goes back to Soverzene. It now remains the charming stretch that connects to Paiane (in Alpago) forced between the rock and the Piave with suspended walkways and tunnels (described in the path n ° 247 On both sides of the Piave) and the following short-distance channel Enel until the Town Marshes. After crossing the industrial area can be found on the SS 51, near the Hotel Dante from which you started the ride.
At the exit of Belluno dell'A27, at the roundabout take a right towards Treviso; After about 1.5 km you will come to the area atrigianale (Loc. Marshes) is clearly visible on the left where the large parking lot just before the Hotel Dante.
