ATTENZIONE!! AL MOMENTO IL SERVIZIO DI RISALITA MECCANIZZATA E' SOSPESO, CAUSA DISMISSIONE DELL'IMPIANTO, PER CHI VOLESSE FARE COMUNQUE IL GIRO, VI CONSIGLIAMO DI RISALIRE TRAMITE BITUMATA DA LORICA A BOTTE DONATO 11KM IN SALITA.
Si parte dalla Località Croce di Magara, o dai Giganti della Sila, si imbocca il sentiero che parte dal guado del fiume Neto e sale verso la località "ventricello" (CAI422), si segue il sentiero e la traccia GPS fino ad arrivare alla strada delle vette (KM10), arrivati alla strada delle vette asfaltata, si gira a destra verso Camigliatello ( a sinistra si arriva in cima al monte Botte Donato) al KM 12 si imbocca in discesa di nuovo il sentiero CAI422 finora percorso in salita (loc. Colle della vacca) da qui un bellissimo single track che va in discesa, attenzione poiché molto insidioso e tecnico, seguite sempre la segnaletica rosso bianca segnata sugli alberi.
Arrivati ad una radura in località (T.ne Bruno) fate attenzione ai segnali CAI!! girate a sinistra! (KM 14,3)
(In questo punto è molto facile sbagliare poiché il percorso tenderà a portarvi ad andare diritto perdendo il sentiero 422!)
Proseguendo sul sentiero CAI422 inoltratevi tra la faggeta, continuate a seguire il sentiero 422 che segue la cresta, sempre tenendo la destra del sentiero, fate attenzione, oltre che ai rami presenti sul selciato, ad non imboccare il sentiero CAI437 che va verso sinistra.
Proseguite sul sentiero fino ad arrivare al Monte Cristo (KM17), arrivati ad una radura girate a sinistra vi troverete ad una sorta di crocevia (KM18) dove è molto facile sbagliare! Il sentiero da seguire è quello posto al centro troverete in mezzo al selciato una vecchia pietra miliare e la solita segnaletica sugli alberi. Continuate a seguire il sentiero fino ad arrivare alla strada asfaltata in prossimità della località Quaresima (KM21,2).
Seguite la strada asfaltata fino all'incrocio di quaresima, girate a sinistra in direzione di Lorica.
Arrivate a Lorica o vi fermate per una pausa pranzo in qualche ristorante del posto oppure seguite le indicazioni per la Bidonvia in località Cavaliere, che vi porterà fino alla cima del Monte Botte Donato.
Arrivati con la bidonvia in cima al monte Dotte Donato, scaricate le bici, proseguite verso il sentiero SI18 che si imbocca dalla cima del monte, in direzione delle antenne dei ripetitori seguendo la stradina asfaltata che volge in leggera salita (quella a destra della strada delle vette), poco prima delle cabine dei ripetitori si imbocca il sentiero single track SI18 (KM39) imboccato il sentiero proseguite per circa 500mt fino ad imboccare il sentiero a destra, si scende sul sentiero fino ad incrociare per poco nuovamente e per un brevissimo tratto, il sentiero CA422, noi proseguiremo sul sentiero SI18 che si inserisce tra le faggete a destra del sentiero, fino ad arrivare ad incrociare un sentiero a sinistra che ci porterà nuovamente sulla strada delle vette, seguitela fino ad arrivare in località Macchia Sacra alle spalle della cabinovia di Monte Curcio (KM45) imboccate il sentiero in discesa che vi riporterà verso il punto di partenza.
Vi consiglio vivamente di percorrere questo percorso in compagnia, con traccia GPS e possibilmente una mappa.
Mappe tracce e maggiori informazioni qui: Se venite da Cosenza o A1: Arrivati a Camigliatello (direzione Crotone) seguite sulla vecchia strada SS107 le indicazioni per Croce di Magara (giganti della Sila). Se venite da Catanzaro: Crotone SS Ionica 106, SS107 in direzione di Cosenza, uscita Croce di magara prima di Camigliatello.

Look out !! WHEN THE SERVICE LIFTS AND MACHINE-'SUSPENDED IN CASE DISPOSAL SYSTEM, FOR THOSE WHO WOULD OTHERWISE MAKE THE TURN, WE ADVISE YOU TO ASCEND THROUGH tarred LORICA FROM A BARREL DONATO 11KM UPHILL.
It starts by Location Croce di Magara, or by the Giants Sila, take the path leading from the ford of the river Neto and climb towards "ventricello" (CAI422), follow the path and the GPS track up to the road of the peaks (KM10 ), arrived at the peaks of the paved road, turn right towards Camigliatello (on the left you will arrive atop Mount Botte Donato) at KM 12, take the path downhill again CAI422 so far uphill (loc. Colle cow) from here a beautiful single track that goes downhill, watch out because very tricky and technical, always follow the red and white signs marked on the trees.
arrive at a clearing in the locality (T.ne Bruno) pay attention to the signals CAI !! turn left! (KM 14.3)
(At this point it is very easy to miss because the path will tend to take the path going straight losing 422!)
Continuing CAI422 press forward on the path between the beech woods, continue to follow the path 422 that follows the ridge, always keeping to the right of the path, take care, as well as the branches on the pavement, not to take the path that goes left CAI437.
Follow the path until you get to Monte Cristo (KM17) arrived at a clearing turn left you will come to a sort of crossroads (KM18) where it is very easy to go wrong! The path to follow is to place at the center you will find in the middle of the pavement an old milestone and the usual signs on the trees. Keep following the path until you reach the paved road near the resort Lent (KM21,2).
Follow the paved road to the intersection of Lent, turn left in the direction of Lorica.
Arrive in Lorica or you stop for a lunch break in some local restaurant, or follow the directions for the Cable car in town Knight, which will take you to the summit of Monte Botte Donato.

I highly recommend you go this route in the company, with GPS tracking, and possibly a map.
