Raggiunto il paese di Barcelonette dall’Italia lo attraversiamo sino a oltrepassare l’incrocio per PraLoup e si parcheggia lungo la strada D900.
Iniziamo a pedalare in direzione del centro di Barcelonette restando sempre sulla strada asfaltata D900.
Svoltiamo a sinistra su Rue Spitalier e poi a destra su Rue Maurin, imbocchiamo così sulla nostra sinistra la Chemin de l’Adroit e da qui si inizia a salire.
Raggiunti circa i tre chilometri dalla partenza, svoltiamo a destra su una carrareccia sterrata, la pendenza rimane sempre molto piacevole e superato una piccola casa imbocchiamo un sentierino sulla nostra destra.
Il sentiero rimane tale per pochi metri e poi torna nuovamente a strada sterrata.
La strada inizia a scendere e, dopo aver attraversato un torrente, incrocia un’altra stradina sterrata in salita; svoltiamo a destra e riprendiamo la nostra ascesa.
Raggiunto un altro incrocio, tralasciamo la strada che svolta a destra e proseguiamo dritto; il fondo rimane sempre confortevole per la nostra salita, diventa un po’ più impegnativa per l’aumento della pendenza.
La strada ci porta su un pianoro erboso, qui la carrareccia presenta due brevi salite molto ripide dopo le quali la stradina finisce e lascia posto a un sentiero ben visibile.
Dal momento che si imbocca il sentiero purtroppo non è più possibile procedere in sella, quindi si deve spingere la bici e in alcune tratti portare a spalla il proprio mezzo, sino a completare un dislivello di circa 200 metri e incrociare il sentiero denominato Chemin Horizontal.
Raggiunto il nuovo sentiero, è possibile ricominciare a pedalare e si prosegue verso ovest; il single track è quasi tutto percorribile in sella, presenta solo alcuni passaggi su pietraie che, a causa del fondo poco stabile e dell’esposizione, è consigliabile affrontarli con bici al fianco.
Oltrepassato un torrente, perveniamo ad una palina segnaletica che , qui diparte la nostra discesa.
Il primo tratto di sentiero presenta alcuni ciottoli , ma appena si inoltra nel bosco il fondo diventa pulito e la traccia scende con una piacevole pendenza; con alcuni tornanti il sentiero ci porta nelle vicinanze di un posto tappa.
Da qui si deve seguire per alcuni metri la strada sterrata che conduce a valle, si guadano alcuni corsi d’acqua e raggiunti i 20 km circa sulla nostra sinistra ritroviamo una sentiero, la traccia riattraversa in alcuni tratti la strada e in altre bisogna proseguire per alcuni metri sulla carrareccia per ritrovare il seguito del sentiero.
Rientrati per l’ultima volta sulla strada sterrata passiamo su un ponte dopo il quale la strada diventa asfaltata.
La discesa ci concede ancora un piccolo tratto di sterrato imboccandolo sulla sinistra alla prima curva a destra.
La discesa termina sulla strada D900, ora non ci rimane che procedere sull’asfalto sino a raggiungere il punto di partenza.

Start pedaling in the direction of the center of Barcelonette remaining always on the road D900.
We turn to left on Rue Spitalier and then right on Rue Maurin, so we take on our left the Chemin de l'Adroit and from here you start to climb.
Reached about three kilometers from the start, turn right onto a dirt track, the slope is always very pleasant and passed a small house, we take a path on our right.
The trail remains so for a few meters and then back again to the dirt road.
The road starts to descend and, after passing through a stream, crosses another dirt road uphill; turn right and continue our ascent.
reached another crossroads, we omit the road, turn right and continue straight; the fund remains comfortable for our climb, it becomes a bit 'more challenging due to the increase of the slope.
The road takes us on a grassy plateau, where the cart has two very steep short climbs after which the road ends and gives way to a trail clearly visible.
Since you take the path unfortunately no longer possible to proceed in the saddle, so you have to push the bike and in some stretches lead to shoulder their bikes, up to complete a drop of approximately 200 meters and cross the path called Chemin Horizontal.
reached the new path, you can start pedaling and continue westward; the single track almost everything is feasible in the saddle, has only a few steps on stony ground who, due to the unstable background and exposure, it is advisable to deal with bike on the side.
After crossing a stream, we come to a signpost that here departs our descent. The first section of the trail has some pebbles, but just goes into the woods the fund becomes clean and the track down with a nice slope; with a few bends the path brings us close to a stopping place.
From here you must follow a few meters the road that leads to the valley, ford some rivers and reached about 20 km on our left we find a path, track back across the road in some places and in others you have to continue for a few meters on the cart track to find the result of the path.
Returning for the last time on the dirt road we pass over a bridge after which the road becomes paved.
The descent gives us still a small stretch of dirt road imboccandolo on the left at the first corner on the right.
The descent ends on road D900, now we can do is proceed on the asphalt until you reach the starting point .
