Percorso in valle Ubaye, non lungo ma con una discesa di tutto rispetto, per la difficoltà e l'ambiente severo dell'alta montagna.
Partendo da Larche, scendiamo per la statale D900, dopo alcuni km. fatti velocemente, svoltiamo a destra, indicazioni per St Ours e risaliamo al paese omonimo.
Giunti nel paesino, (ultimo luogo dove troveremo acqua potabile), andiamo a destra, seguendo le indicazioni per il C. de Mallemort, in breve la strada diventa sterrata.
Prestare attenzione ad un bivio, dove andremo a sinistra, abbandonando quella che sembra la via principale.
L'ambiente in breve diventa quello classico e bellissimo dell'alta montagna, attraversiamo un torrentello, accompagnati dalle marmotte che poco spaventate, si lasciano avvicinare abbastanza da essere fotografate.
in breve arriviamo alle caserme ai piedi del colle, qui finisce la sterrata, giungiamo in breve spingendo in parte al colle.
Qui abbiamo la disgressione non obbligatoria al forte superiore, il sentiero è evidente ed univoco, non considerate la traccia in questa parte perchè sono salito a piedi per fare le foto ai miei compagni, la salita dà degli scorci panoramici molto belli, per contro in cima si trova una cancellata che sbarra la strada al forte, non permettendo di avere la stupenda vista dagli spalti.
Tornati al colle, il sentiero della discesa è ben visibile, un primo tratto leggermente esposto consiglia grande attenzione, poi per pratoni, ma su sentiero a tratti ripido e con pochissimo grip causa fondo ghiaioso, comincia una lunga discesa che ci fa tornare al punto di partenza. Valle Stura di Demonte, superato il Colle della Maddalena, scendere al primo paese che è Larche.

From Larche, go down to the main road D900, after a few miles. made quickly, turn right, follow signs for St Ours, and we go back to the village of the same name.
Once in the village, (the last place where we will find drinking water), go right and follow the signs to the C. de Mallemort, in the short road becomes a dirt road.

The environment quickly became the classic and beautiful high mountain, cross a small stream, accompanied by marmots little scared, you leave close enough to be photographed.
shortly arrive at the barracks at the foot of the hill, the dirt road ends here, we come short in pushing part of the hill.
Here we have the digression is not mandatory to strong top, the path is clear and unambiguous, not considered in this part of the track because I got to walk to take pictures with my companions, the climb gives panoramic views of the very beautiful, on the other hand is on top of a fence that blocks the road to the fort, not allowing you to have the beautiful view from the stands.
Back at the hill, the path of descent is clearly visible, a first section slightly exposed recommend great caution, then for lawns, but on the trail with some steep sections and very little grip due to the gravelly bottom, begins a long descent brings us back to the starting point. Valle Stura di Demonte, passed the Colle della Maddalena, off the first country that is Larche.
