Da Champoluc si sale lungo il torrente in direzione Frachey. Quindi incomincia la vera salita con tornanti su strada sterrata ampia che sale a fianco della funicolare. Giunti in cima si prosegue dapprima verso il Crest, poi puntando subito in alto seguendo una seggiovia. Si devia verso la partenza della seggiovia Bettaforca. Si incontrano un paio di laghetti alpini. Quindi si prosegue per la parte più dura della salita, sempre su strada sterrata ma con pendenze importanti fino a raggiungere la vetta, dove volendo si può scollinare e scendere verso Gressoney - Staffal. Si incontra la neve sui lati spesso anche d'estate.
La salita è tecnicamente facile, ma richiede una media preparazione in quanto le pendenze sono importanti e "non molla mai".
Dopo la discesa dal Bettaforca, si sale un poco fino al lago Ciarcerio dove arriva la seggiovia Ciarcerio - Belvedere. Si discende quindi lungo la pista e si risale, per poi scendere finalmente al Crest.
Da qui la discesa a Champoluc riportata dalla traccia prevede il rientro lungo la pista da sci. E' una discesa molto ripida e impegnativa attraversata da diversi canali e non sempre in buone condizioni, richiede una buona padronanza del mezzo in discesa. Verificare che sia percorribile in bici, in quanto potrebbe essere vietata in alcuni periodi.
Consiglio come variante molto più facile uno sterrato praticamente pianeggiante che riporta a Frachey all'arrivo della funicolare (non è sulla traccia gpx), e quindi il rientro per la stessa strada percorsa in salita ad inizio itinerario.
Esiste una terza possibilità di discesa da Frachey lungo una pista da DH che al momento era ancora in preparazione.

From Champoluc up along the river in the direction Frachey. Then began the real climb on a dirt road with hairpin bends that goes wide next to the funicular. After the descent from Bettaforca, climb a little to the lake where it comes Ciarcerio chairlift Ciarcerio - Belvedere. It then descends along the trail and climb up, then down finally to the Crest.
From here the descent to Champoluc reported by the track expected return on the ski slope. It 'a very steep and challenging crossed by several canals and not always in good condition, it requires a good mastery of the downhill. Council as a variant much easier a dirt road that leads back to almost flat Frachey of the cable car (not on track gpx), and then return for the same road traveled uphill at the start of your route.
There is a third possibility of descent from Frachey along a track from DH who at the time was still in preparation.
