Quello di questo itinerario è il n. 3, il SENTIERO DEI CASTAGNI - RIVALTA (dal nome delle due borgate che vengono raggiunte).
La partenza della mia traccia è presso il comodo parcheggio di via Ferrero (con bar-trattoria!). Si prosegue per Via Roma e poi via Richeri in direzione di Bra. Dopo circa 1,1 km si svolta a sx per un breve tratto di strada asfaltata e poi sterrata. La Valle del Tanaro offre uno scenario incantevole, con la città di Cherasco dominante, al centro del piano di visuale. Di sfondo la catena delle Alpi con la vetta del Monviso. Dopo la caratteristica borgata Simane ci si ricongiunge sulla strada provinciale per un breve tratto, poi si scende a sx su strada comunale. In prossimità della borgata Rossi si piega a sx, percorrendo un piacevole tratto pianeggiante fra frutteti e coltivi. Alla borgata Alferi si scende a dx su capezzagna e si raggiunge la borgata Ascheri, ove è l’interessante giardino esotico “Bruniano”. Si prosegue su falso piano fino alla frazione Rivalta.. Si riprende la strada comunale verso borgata Rossi e, dopo un centinaio di metri, si sale a sx, su strada campestre, fra coltivi rigogliosi e vigneti; si prosegue, oltrepassata la provinciale, sino alla borgata Castagni. Ci si dirige alla cappella della Madonna di Loreto: il paesaggio si apre a sx su Diano, Alba e Grinzane Cavour, verso dx sulle colline di Castiglione Falletto. Si rientra verso La Morra su strada sterrata attraversando un primo tratto fra vigneti di nebbiolo e poi portandosi in cresta, fino al campo sportivo. Un ultimo tratto in salita porta al concentrico. 1 - DALL'AUTOSTRADA A-21 TORINO PIACENZA: provenienti dall' autostrada A-21 TORINO-PIACENZA uscire ad asti est e prendere in direzione di ALBA. In prossimità di ALBA prendere la tangenziale in direzione BAROLO uscita LA MORRA.

of this route is the no. 3, the PATH OF CHESTNUT - RIVALTA (from the name of the two villages that are reached).
The start of my track is convenient parking at the street Ferrero (with bar-trattoria). Continue to Via Roma and then off in the direction of Richeri Bra. After about 1.1 km turn left for a short stretch of paved road and then a dirt road. The Tanaro Valley provides a stunning setting, with the city of Cherasco dominant in the center of the plane of view. Background of the Alps with the peak of Monviso. After the characteristic township Simane you join up on the road for a short distance, then down to the left on county road. In the vicinity of the township Rossi bends to the left, along a nice flat stretch between orchards and crops. At the township Alferi it comes down to the right of the headland and you reach the township Ascheri, where is the interesting exotic garden "Bruni". It continues on a plane to the hamlet Rivalta .. You take the road towards town and township Rossi, after a hundred meters, climb to the left, on the country road, between cultivated fields and lush vineyards; Continuing on past the provincial township until the chestnuts. We head to the chapel of Our Lady of Loreto: the landscape opens to the left of Diano, Alba and Grinzane Cavour, towards the right in the hills of Castiglione Falletto. It falls to La Morra on a dirt road through a first section between the vineyards of Nebbiolo and then taking the ridge, up to the football field. One last climb leads to concentric. 1 - FROM A-21 TORINO Piacenza: coming from 'highway A-21 Torino-Piacenza exit at Asti Est and take the direction of ALBA. In the vicinity of ALBA take the ring road towards exit BAROLO LA Morra.
