km 40 x 1300 m D+, quota min/max 380/890, verso antiorario
Si parte dal parcheggio del cimitero di Belluno, e dopo aver aggirato da nord la città, iniziamo la salita al Col di Roanza. Da dietro il rifugio prendiamo un bel sentiero che entra nel bosco che ci conduce sul 519 che non abbandoneremo più fino al Ponte del Mariano. Lungo questo sentiero al wpt C notevole panorama sulla Schiara e sulla vallata, si nota anche sull'altro versante il sent. 501 che percorreremo dopo il giro di boa a fondo valle. Al wpt D si incontra una galleria lunga circa 400m non illuminata artificialmente ma solo da alcune aperture sull'esterno (si consiglia una torcia per sicurezza anche se il fondo non è smosso).
Dopo aver attraversato a piedi il torrente Ardo su un ponticello ed aver raggiunto il suddetto Ponte del Mariano (wpt E) inizia il sent. 501 (parte dell'Alta Via delle Dolomiti n.1).
Questo tratto è il più "difficile" del percorso, ci sono alcuni gradini in salita da fare a piedi, alcune rocce che interrompono la pedalata e un paio di passaggi un po' più stretti ed esposti ma nulla di veramente pericoloso, basta non sottovalutare il fatto che in caso di caduta si rischia un rotolamento di un centinaio di metri visto che la parete è piuttosto ripida e tutto andrà bene. La prudenza non è mai troppa.
Giunti al bivio per il Bus del Buson (wpt F) bisogna scendere per 10' e 50m di dislivello a piedi su sentiero ripido (forse i più bravi scenderanno in sella) per ammirare quello che è un vero spettacolo della natura. Purtroppo il ritorno in salita sullo stesso sentiero sarà molto faticoso con la bici in spalla, ma ne sarà valsa la pena.
Dalle Case Bortot abbiamo provato un paio di sentieri per arrivare alla valle del Medon dall'alto ma è andata male. Abbiamo notato, poi, durante la discesa su asfalto un cartello sulla destra con indicazione di 1,7 km di curve che andrebbe nella direzione giusta e dovrebbe sbucare al wpt k che infatti indica in salita per Case Bortot e sarebbe la soluzione alternativa a quello che volevamo fare. Se qualcuno vuole provare ben venga.
Al wpt I giriamo a sinistra per andare a vedere un'altra meraviglia della natura dal Ponte della Mortis. Una fenditura stretta e profonda dove scorre sempre il torrente Ardo. Ritorniamo sui nostri passi, scendiamo ancora un po' su asfalto e giriamo a destra per salire all'Olt, terza meraviglia di giornata, dove scorre il torrente Medone (Medòn).
Tornati di nuovo sui nostri passi, rientriamo al parcheggio soddisfatti ed appagati.

from the parking lot of the cemetery of Belluno, and after passing the city from the north, we begin the climb to the Col di Roanza. From behind the refuge we take a nice trail that enters the woods that leads us to the 519 that will not give more to the Bridge of Mariano. Along this path to C wpt remarkable panorama of the Schiara and the valley, there is also the other side sent. 501 that will travel after the halfway point in the valley. At wpt D meets a tunnel about 400m long but not artificially lit only by a few openings to the outside (we recommend a torch for safety even if the bottom is not loose).
After crossing the river on foot Ardo on a bridge and reaching the aforesaid Bridge Mariano (wpt E) begins sent. 501 (part Alta Via n.1).
This stretch is the most "difficult" of the trail, there are some steps up to do on foot, some rocks that interrupt the ride and a couple of steps a little 'closer and exposed but nothing really dangerous, just do not underestimate the fact that in case of a fall can cause a rolling one hundred meters since the wall is quite steep and everything will be fine. Prudence is never enough.
At the junction for the Bus Buson (wpt F) to go down to 10 'and 50m in altitude walk on a footpath (perhaps the most talented will be on the saddle) to see what is a true spectacle of nature. Unfortunately, the uphill return on the same path will be very hard with the bike on his shoulder, but it will be worth it.
From Case Bortot we tried a couple of paths to get to the valley of Medon from above, but it went wrong. We noticed, then, during the descent on asphalt a sign on the right indicating 1.7 km curves that would go in the right direction and it should come out to the fact that wpt k indicates uphill for Case Bortot and would be the alternative solution to what wanted to do. If someone wants to try so be it.
Al wpt I turn left to go see another wonder of nature from the Bridge of Mortis. A narrow slit and deep where flows always Ardo. Retrace our steps, we go a little 'on asphalt and turn right to climb OLT, the third wonder of the day, where the stream flows Medone (Medon).
Back on our feet again, we return to the car park satisfied and satisfied.
