Bellissimo percorso tra le colline di fornione monte battaglia Castel del rio . Salvo il tratto su asfalto che parte da fontanelice ed il ritorno da castel del rio fino a fontanelice è interamente dentro il bosco quindi consiglio di farlo con GPS alla mano ed in compagnia dato che ci si addentra in alcune strade ,facili da trovare ma che fanno parte del bosco . Percorrendo la via montanara da Imola verso Fontanelice giungerete al paese dove sulla destra c'è un parcheggio molto piccolo che sarà il vostro puinto di partenza (o se preferite potrete andare fino in macchina al bivio di Fornione .Ad un'indicazione vicino ai frutteti che darà FORNIONE . svoltate a sinistra e salite su asfalto per circa 3km impegnativi fino ad una bivio dove prenderete la strada bianca che sale ancora . Appena scavallato il monte parte la lunga discesa che vi porta nella vallata per addentrarvi nel bosco (bellissimo anche in pieno inverno) .
Attenzione solo al passaggio vicino a quella piccola casa di campagna per la presenza di cavalli e cani (in recinto) ma che giustamente non vanno disturbati. In men che non si dica sarete già a metà percorso attorno alla vallata che continua con splendidi paesaggi e percorsi. Quando ridiscenderete il monte fino a castel del rio incontrerete anche il santerno con il passaggio sullo splendore dell'acqua che scorre . RIngrazio i ragazzi del BARCOLLO MA NON MOLLO che mi hanno accompagnato la prima volta su questo bel percorso.

Beautiful path through the hills of Castel del rio Fornione upstream battle. Unless the stretch of asphalt running from fontanelice and return to castel del rio is entirely up to fontanelice into the woods so I recommend doing it with GPS in hand and in the company as we enter some roads are easy to find but they do part of the forest. Along the mountain road from Imola to Fontanelice arrive to the country on the right there is a small parking lot that will be your starting puinto (or if you prefer you can go up in the car at the junction of Fornione .For indication near orchards give Fornione. turn left and go up the asphalt for about 3km binding to a junction where you take the dirt road that climbs again. scavallato Just the upstream part of the long descent that takes you into the valley to immerse yourself in the woods (beautiful even in winter ).
Attention only to the passage near the small country house for the presence of horses and dogs (in the fence) but that rightly should not be disturbed. In less than no time you are half way around the valley that continues with beautiful landscapes and paths. When you walk downward the hill to the castle of the river even meet the santerno with the passage of the splendor of flowing water. thank the boys staggered BUT NOT MOLLO who accompanied me the first time on this beautiful path.
