Itinerario di bassa quota per il periodo invernale, si parte da Borgofranco d'Ivrea ed è subito cimento su stradina lastricata (occhio ai periodi piovosi). Più in alto si prende il bitume per Nomaglio ed Andrate. Poco prima di Croce serra Castello si svolta a sx su sterrata, più avanti si svolta a dx su sentiero fino al castello. Si segue la dorsale della serra su single track passando dalla Torre Bastia e successivamente su sterrato si devia a dx in discesa, si arriva rapidamente alla chiesa di S. Stefano punto ideale per una sosta. Inizia ora una parte mista che ci porterà a costeggiare prima il lago Sirio, poi il lago Pistono ed infine il lago Nero più isolato e selvaggio. Poco oltre si rientra in Borgofranco. Si arriva ad Ivrea o tramite la A5 Torino-Aosta oppure risalendo la statale SS26, si attraversa il centro seguendo le indicazioni per Montalto Dora - Borgofranco d'Ivrea.

Route low altitude for the winter, we start from Ivrea ordeal and is now on paved road (watch out for rainy periods). The higher you take the bitumen to Nomansland and Andrate. Shortly before Cross greenhouse Castle turn left on a dirt road, then turns right onto the path up to the castle. It follows the ridge of the greenhouse on single track passing by the Tower Bastia and then you turn right on the dirt road downhill, one quickly comes to the church of S. Stefano ideal spot for a stopover. Start now part of a joint that will lead us to walk along the lake before Sirius, then the lake PIstono and finally the Black Lake most isolated and wild. A little further you fall in Borgofranco. You get to Ivrea or via the A5 Turin-Aosta or going up the road SS26, cross the center following signs for Montalto Dora - Ivrea.
