Itinerario un pò folle nato senza programmazione, ma decidendo le deviazioni attimo per attimo.
partiamo dal mitico Porchettaro di Fara Filiorum Petri.
Questa volta vogliamo partire prendendo il sentiero dal basso. Infatti iniziamo subito una breve discesa che tra carrarecce ed un pò di asfalto ci fa guadare il torrente.
Prima di puntare verso la montagna ecco la prima follia: perchè non andiamo a prenderci un caffè in pieno centro storico di Guardiagrele?
Detto fatto. Due pedalate, una ripidissima rampa sterrata ed eccoci tra i passanti vestiti a festa nel centro storico chiuso al traffico automobilistico.
Il caffè ci dà la spinta giusta per ripartire, affrontando una breve down-town per le scalette del belvedere
questa volta si punta dritti verso la montagna: solita direzione Bocca di Valle.
Altre pedalate su sterrato ed un pò di asfalto ed ecco la seconda follia: puntiamo a Pennapiedimonte con l'obiettivo di risalire fino alla Rapina.
Lo scenario sopra le gole è di quelli stratosferici: sotto di noi il baratro e in fondo, sulla sinistra, si vedono benissimo le Gobbe di Selva Romana, meta di una prossima avventura (aspettiamo che si sciolga la neve!!)
Iniziamo a salire spingendo e caricandoci la bici sulle spalle. I tratti pedalabili sono davvero pochi, il vuoto alla nostra sinistra ci invita alla cautela e presto incontriamo la neve.
Arrivati al rifugio Pischioli
ci rendiamo conto che arrivare alla Rapina è impossibile senza le ciapsole ai piedi, pertanto decidiamo di iniziare a scendere verso la Valle Favorana con l'obiettivo di raggiungere il sentiero 24 a Piana della Civita.
Inizialmente è una carrareccia veloce, ma poi riteniamo opportuno abbandonare il sentiero di fondo valle per "tagliare" in salita dritto per dritto ad incrociare il 24.
questa forse è la parte più dura, dato che le energie sono agli sgoccioli e soprattutto la vegetazione per la salita è molto chiusa; si fatica a spingere la bici che non trova spazio tra i rami bassi ed i cespugli e caricarla in spalla è praticamente impossibile.
Ma superiamo anche questa difficoltà e siamo ampiamente ripagati dal tratto di single track che fino alla scaletta di ferro è davvero spettacolare.
Arriviamo finalmente a Bocca di Valle; siamo già quasi a casa e la bici trova da sola la strada giusta: poco asfalto e tanto, velocissimo sterrato, attirati dalla fame e dal pensiero delle salsicce e della porchetta che ci aspettano vicino alle auto

uscita A14 PE-OVEST / CHIETI; prendere Asse Attrezzato in direzione Pescara; prendere Circonvallazione in direzione Foggia; dopo il lungo tunnel uscire e seguire per Guardiagrele fino ad incontrare lo svincolo per FARA FILIORUM PETRI. Girare a sinistra (direzione Rapino) ed alla 2° rotonda si incontra il bar Porchettaro con il piazzale per lasciare l'auto

Route a little crazy born without programming, but deciding deviations from moment to moment.
Start from the mythical porchettaro of Fara Filiorum Petri.
This time we want to start taking the path from the bottom. In fact, we start a short descent and between driveways and a little asphalt makes us cross the creek.
Before heading to the mountains this is the first madness: why do not we go for a coffee in the historic center of Guardiagrele?
no sooner said than done. Two rides, a steep dirt ramp and here we are among the passers dressed up in the historic center closed to traffic.
The coffee gives us the right push to start, facing a short down-town to the stairs of the lookout
this time pointing straight towards the mountain: the usual direction Bocca di Valle.
Other rides on dirt and some asphalt and here's the second folly: we aim to Pennapiedimonte with the aim of going back to the robbery. < br> The scenario above is the throats of those stratospheric: the abyss below us and at the bottom, on the left, you can see very well the Humps Selva Romana, a destination for your next adventure (wait for it to melt the snow !!)

Arrived at the shelter Pischioli
we realize that it is impossible to get to the robbery without ciapsole the foot, so we decide to begin to descend towards the valley Favorana with the goal of reaching the path 24 to Piana della Civita.

this is perhaps the hardest part, since the energies are winding down and the vegetation above the slope is very close; it is hard to push the bike that has no place among the low branches and bushes and load it on your shoulder is virtually impossible.
But we overcome this difficulty and we are amply rewarded by the section of single track that until the iron ladder is really spectacular.
We finally arrive at Bocca di Valle; we are already almost home and the bike is alone the right way: and so little asphalt, gravel fast, lured by hunger and the thought of sausages and pork that are waiting near the car

A14 PE-WEST / CHIETI; Axis Equipped take towards Pescara; take ring road in the direction of Foggia; after the long tunnel exit and follow to Guardiagrele until you meet the junction for FARA FILIORUM PETRI. Turn left (Rapino) and at the 2nd roundabout you come to the bar with porchettaro the square to leave the car
