Una classica gita della valle Stura che nonostante dislivello e kilometraggio contenuti offre una bellissima ed impegnativa salita e una discesa che restano nel cuore... la visita ai bunker in vetta è fattibile solo se dotati di una luce (merita il viaggio).
Dal centro di Bersezio si attraversa lo stura in corrispondenza dell'area giochi, seguire il sentiero che porta al Villaggio Primavera, arrivati a un gruppo di villette con poche curve su asfalto o con un taglio nei prati a lato della strada si arriva alla statale in corrispondenza della Pensione Roburent.
Seguire la statale per poche centinaia di metri, svoltare a destra sul ponte in corrispondenza della frazione di Prinardo. Seguire la strada sterrata fino a un pascolo poco prima della borgata Murenz, 200m dopo la colonia un bivio in svolta a 180° segna l'inizio dell'impegnativa salita....solo i più determinati riusciranno a farla QUASI tutta in sella ;-)
La salita si svolge nel lariceto su una bella pista militare con fondo inerbito e forte pendenza, tale mettere a dura prova i migliori pedalatori!!! L'attraversamento di una pietraia segna l'inizio dell'ultima parte di salita che termina con un'ultima impedalabile rampa.
Arrivati in cima un cartello segnala l'inizio del single track di discesa, altrimenti ci si può concedere la visita ad uno spettacolare sistema di bunker e percorsi di collegamento.
Imboccato il sentiero di discesa non potrete sbagliare, una serie di traversi e tornantini su fondo boschivo vi faranno perdere quota fino al fondovalle del rio Forneris.
Prima di giungere al Rio un tratto in traverso vi costringerà a qualche breve pezzo a spinta fino a giungere a un ponticello in legno.
Immediatamente dopo aver attraversato il ponticello svoltare a destra, in estate la traccia è inizialmente poco visibile per via dell'erba alta.
Il single track scende parallelo al rio e per un primo breve tratto è pianeggiante e poco scorrevole, poi arriva a un poggio su un lastrone di roccia di li inizia il bello: dopo i primi due tornanti su pietra il fondo diventa boschivo...finito il tratto a tornantini si incrocia un sentiero più largo che arriva da ferrere, lo si attraversa per continuare su single track scorrevole in terreno aperto...ancora due curvette alla fine e un ponticello depositano sulla sterrata che scende veloce al villaggio primavera.
Di qui potrete ripercorrere il percorso già fatto all'andata per tornare a Bersezio senza toccare la statale.

A classic tour of the Stura valley that despite elevation gain and mileage content offers a beautiful and challenging climb and descent that remain in my heart ... a visit to the bunker at the top is only feasible if you have a light ( well worth the trip).
From the center of Bersezio takes you through the floodgates at the play area, follow the path that leads to the Village Spring, arrived in a group of houses with a few curves on asphalt or with a cut in the meadows on the side of the road you get to the state at the Pension Roburent.
Follow the road for a few hundred meters, turn right over the bridge at the village of Prinardo. Follow the dirt road up to a pasture just before the township Murenz, 200m after the colony a fork in a 180 degree turn marks the beginning dell'impegnativa climb .... only the most determined will be able to make it ALMOST all in the saddle - )
The climb takes place in the larch forest on a beautiful track with a military background and strong grassy slope, this put a strain on the best cyclists !!! The crossing of a stone marks the beginning of the last part of the climb that ends with a final no cycle ramp.
At the top of a sign marking the beginning of the single track descent, otherwise you can indulge in a visit a spectacular system of bunkers and connecting paths.
Take the path of descent can not go wrong, a series of beams and hairpins on wooded background will make you lose share to the valley floor of the Rio Forneris.
Before reaching the Rio suddenly sideways in a few short piece will force you to push until you reach a wooden bridge.
Immediately after crossing the bridge, turn right, in the summer the track is initially difficult to see due to the tall grass.
The single track descends parallel to the river and to a first short section is flat and difficult to move, then get to a hill on a slab of rock with them the fun begins: after the first two bends on the bottom of the stone becomes wooded. ..finito hairpins in the stretch until you reach a wider path that comes from Ferrere, cross it to continue on single track sliding in open ground ... yet at the end of two bends and a bridge deposited on the dirt road that goes down fast to the village spring .
From here you can retrace the path already done the first leg to return to Bersezio without touching the state.
