Man startet in Sarnthein und fährt, auf der für den Autoverkeht gesperrten, alten Straße nach Nordheim, von da über den Radweg nach Astfeld. Dort zweigt man auf der Staatsstraße rechts Richtung Reinswald/Durnholz ab. Nach rund 5 Kilometern biegt man am Ende eines längeren Anstiegs links in die Fraktion Gentersberg ab und folgt weiterhin der asphaltierten Straße, die nach rund einem weiteren Kilometer rechts in Richtung Genterer Alm (Weg Nr. 17) abzweigt. Nach 8 Kilometern und 400 Höhenmetern endet der Asphalt und hinter einem Gatter beginnt die Forststaße. Diese führt in vielen Kehren, zuerst durch den Wald. Nach der Waldgrenze öffnet sich der Horizont und man hat einen traumhaften Blick über das Sarntal und zur Sarner Scharte. Durch offene Weide, immer der Wegnummer 17 folgend, erreicht man die Genterer Alm. Nach 6 Kilometern auf der Forststraße und 600 Höhenmetern höher ist es geschafft und man erreicht die im Sommer bewirtschaftete Genterer Alm (hervorragende Küche). Nach der Rast auf der Genterer Alm wählt man den Weg Nr. 25 zur Boartl Alm. Dieser ist anfangs ein grober Traktorweg, der nach wenigen Minuten abrupt endet und in einen Jägersteig mündet. Dieser verläuft sehr schmal, sehr technisch, immer leicht auf und ab, quert verblockte Stellen und Wasserläufe bis zur besagten Boartl Alm. Von der Boartl Alm geht zuerst ein steiler und steiniger Trail bergab Richtung Feldrand (Nr. 25), dieser mündet später in einen groben Traktorweg und beim Feldrand rund 700 Höhenmeter tiefer in die Staatstraße. Auf der Staatsstraße rollt man entspannt rund 12 Kilometer zum Ausgangspunkt in Sarnthein zurück

You start in Sarnthein and runs on the Autoverkeht for the disabled, old road to Nordheim, because of the cycling path to Astfeld. There you turn to the state road right direction Reinwald / Durnholz. After approximately 5 miles, turn left at the end of a prolonged increase in the fraction Gentersberg from and continues to follow the paved road, after about a kilometer further right towards Genterer Alm (path no. 17) branches. After 8 kilometers and 400 meters above the asphalt ends and behind a gate begins the Forststaße. This leads in many turns, first through the forest. After the tree line opens the horizon and you have a fantastic view over the Sarn Valley and Sarner notch. Through open pasture, always the way number 17 following, we achieved the Genterer Alm. Past 6 kilometers along the forest road and 600 meters above sea level higher it's done and you reach the farmed in the summer Genterer Alm (excellent food). After resting on the Genterer Alm, choose path number. Boartl 25 for Alm. This is initially a rough tractor road that ends abruptly after a few minutes and opens into a hunting trail. This runs very narrow, very technical, always slightly up and down, crossed interlocked bodies and waterways to the said Boartl Alm. From Boartl Alm first is a steep and rocky trail downhill towards the field edge (no. 25), this leads to a later coarse tractor road and the edge of the field about 700 meters lower in the state road.
