Von unserem Agriturismo Frattavecchia nach Goiella, in den Ort geht es steil hinein, dann fährt es sich wellig weiter. Herrlicher Ausblick auf die umliegenden kleinen Hügel, immer das schon von weitem, am Berg stehende Chiusi vor Augen, weiter entfernt sieht man das noch höher liegende Montepulciano. Rechts unten liegt der Lago di Chiusi. Über La Villa, Vaiano, vorbei an Cimbano geht es nach einer Plantage links auf einen geschotterten Radweg, der unterhalb Chiusi, bis nach Chiusi Scalo führt. Ich bin dann auf die Hauptstrasse ausgewichen um den kurzen Weg nach Po Bandino, möglichst schnell zu überbrücken. Es gibt auch eine Alternative durch Chiusi Scalo, zum Bahnhof, dort durch die Unterführung und dann weiter nach Po Bandino. Ab dort geht es steht mit ca 5-6% Steigung ca. 8-10km nach Citta della Pieve. Citta della Pieve ist bekannt durch seine Architektur, ebeso durch die Festspiele die im August stattfinden. Nach einer kurzen Rast (Trinkwasser gibt es am Brunnen bei der Kirche), geht es 2 Kilometer zurück, dann biegen wir rechts ab hinunter nach Moiano. In Moiano geht es rechts nach einem Cafe in Richtung Piegaro. Es geht leicht bergauf, an der nächsten Abzweigung nach Piegaro, fahren wir links ab, die Strasse wird dann immer steiler und geht in einen Schotterweg über, der entlang der Hügelkette, über vereinzelte Agriturismo, bzw. vorbei an Landhäusern vor Paciano endet. Paciano hat eine sehenswerte Altstadt. Nach Paciano geht es hinunter über Le Case, Muffa nach San Fatucchio. Durch den Ort weiter an Ranciano und Badia vorbei, bis das kleine Kirchlein San Cristoforo direkt an der Strasse erscheint. Da biegen wir rechts ab, steil hinunter, ebenso steil auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite wieder hinauf. Dann sind wir wieder an unserem Ausgangspunkt angekommen. Fazit: Viel Asphalt, wenig Schotter, aber man kann einige Sehenswürdigkeiten vereinen, keine Schiebepassagen, schöne Aussichten von den Höhen. Untergrund: Hauptsächlich Asphalt, von Moiano nach Paciano, dieses Teilstück ist Schotterweg. Einkehrmöglichkeiten: Chiusi Scalo, Citta della Pieve, Moiano, Paciano und wie üblich in jedem kleineren Ort gibt es ein Tabacchi oder Cafe.

Our agritourism Frattavecchia after Goiella, in the place it goes into steep, then it goes further wavy. Magnificent views of the surrounding small hills, always from a distance, standing on the mountain Chiusi in mind, further away you can see the still higher lying Montepulciano. Bottom right is the Lago di Chiusi. About La Villa, Vaiano, past Cimbano it goes to a plantation left on a gravel bike path that leads beneath Chiusi, Chiusi Scalo up after. I then resorted to the main road to the short distance to Po Bandino to bridge as quickly as possible. There is also an alternative Chiusi Scalo by, the train station, where the underpass and then on to Po Bandino. From there it goes is with about 5-6% slope to Citta della Pieve about 8-10km. Citta della Pieve is known for its architecture, Ebeso held by the Festival in August. After a short break (drinking water there at the fountain near the church), it goes back two kilometers, then turn right down to Moiano. In Moiano it goes right to a cafe in the direction Piegaro. It goes slightly uphill, at the next junction to Piegaro, we drive from the left, the road is getting steeper and then turns into a dirt road that ends along the ridge, on isolated farm, or past country houses before Paciano. Paciano has a picturesque old town. After Paciano it goes down over Le Case, Muffa to San Fatucchio. Through the village and continue to Ranciano Badia over until the little church of San Cristoforo appears directly on the road. As we turn right, down steeply, as steeply on the opposite side up. Then we arrived at our starting point. Conclusion: Much Asphalt, little gravel, but you can combine some sightseeing, no sliding passages, beautiful views from the heights. Surface: Mostly asphalt, from Moiano by Paciano, this section is gravel. Refreshments: Chiusi Scalo, Citta della Pieve, Moiano, Paciano and as usual in every small town has a Tabacchi or Cafe.
