Startort: Campingplatz Park Albatros ca. 7km südl. von S.Vincenzo Datum der Tour: 24.06.2011 Vom Campingplatz immer flach entlang des Fahrradweges neben der Hauptstrasse (alternativ und schöner, aber etwas länger wäre der Waldweg durch die Macchia gewesen) nach s.Vincenzo. Am Hafen entlang durch den Ort und am nördl. Ortsende auf einem Fahrweg (neben geschlossenem Tor ein Durchschlupf) meist durch schönen Wald, ein weiteres Tor kann ebenfalls linkerhand auf Waldweg umfahren werden, zuletzt entlang Bahnlinie bis diese schließlich auf Brücke überquert werden kann. Kurzes Stück auf der Hauptstrasse nach Donoratico, dann rechts ab auf rel. ruhiger Asphaltstrasse hinüber und hinauf nach Castagneto Carducci (ca. 180m). Eine Besichtigung des Ortes mit seiner schönen Aussicht ist durchaus lohnend. Anschließend folgt man dem schönen Asphaltsträsschen durch Wald weiter nach Sassetta (ca.320m), immer leicht ansteigend. Nach Passieren des Ortes nur noch wenig bergauf, dann über die herrliche Schlängelstrasse durch den schönen "Märchenwald" hinunter bis kurz vor Suvereto (ca. 100m). Dort links ab und hinauf zum sehr schönen Aussichtspunkt Belvedere (ca. 274m), von wo man einen schönen Blick Richtung Meer hat. Nach Besichtigung des Ortes Suvereto fährt man zuerst auf schmalen Asphaltsträsschen etwas abwärts (bis ca. 50m), später auf Sandstrasse wieder leicht ansteigend (bis ca. 100m) durch Wald, zuletzt wieder abwärts bis man wieder auf ein Asphaltsträsschen trifft (ca.45m). Dieses führt durchgehend steil hinauf nach Campiglia Marittima (ca. 240m). Auch bei diesem Ort sollte man sich eine Besichtigungstour nicht entgehen lassen. Die Weiterfahrt erfolgte auf der Strasse hinunter nach Venturina (ca.15m), dort am Thermalbad vorbei und weiter z.T.über Nebenstrassen zurück zum Park Albatros. Fazit: Eine zwar lange, aber sehr schöne, aussichtsreiche und kulturell informative Rund-Tour. Die beiden "Fleißaufgaben" Belvedere u. Campiglia Marittima können auch weggelassen werden, was die Tour deutlich vereinfacht (ca. 370 Hm weniger); man fährt dann auf dem Asphaltsträsschen nicht rechts hinauf nach Campiglia Marittima, sondern nach links hinab zur Hauptstrasse und auf dieser direkt nach Venturina. Anmerkung: Eine ganz brauchbare,nicht immer ganz aktuelle, gps-fähige Karte im Maßstab 1:25000 gibt es zu diesem Gebiet vom Florenzer Verlag Edizioni Multigraphic: Costa Etrusca für 7,50 EUR im Campingplatz zu kaufen. Leider sind darin nicht die vielen lästigen, meist geschlossenen Stahltore eingezeichnet, die so manche schöne Feld-/Waldwege versperren und diese dadurch oft zum Biken nicht nutzbar machen, ein aus meiner Sicht etwas seltsames Verhältnis zum Privat-Grundbesitz der Landwirte in dieser Region !

There, left and up to the beautiful Belvedere Lookout (about 274m), from where you have a beautiful view towards the sea. After visiting the place Suvereto you drive first on narrow asphalt road something down (to about 50m), later on sandy road again & nbsp; rising slightly (up to 100m) through the forest, finally back down until you meet again on an asphalt road (ca.45m ). This leads continuously steep climb to Campiglia Marittima (approx 240m). Also at this location a tour should not be missed. The remaining route was made on the road down to Venturina (ca.15m), where the thermal past and continue zTüber side streets back to Park Albatros. Conclusion: Although long, but very beautiful, promising and culturally & nbsp; informative round-trip. The two & quot; diligence tasks & quot; Belvedere u Campiglia Marittima can also be omitted, which greatly simplifies the tour (about 370 Hm less). you drive up on the asphalt road not right up to Campiglia Marittima, but to the left down to the main road and on the right after Venturina. Unfortunately, not many annoying, mostly closed steel gates are drawn in it that so many beautiful field / forest paths block and this thereby often make for biking not available, from my perspective, something strange relationship with the private property of farmers in this region & nbsp ;!
