Erst geht es auf einem der vielen kleinen Trails durch den Tennenloher Forst zum Wildpferdgehege und von dort weiter nach Kalchreuth. Die Straße nach Kalchreuth hoch dient der Zeitersparnis, ansonsten geht auf der anderen Straßenseite auch ein Weg im Wald bis nach oben. Dann geht es im Kreisverkehr rechts weg Richtung Buchenbühl und gleich nach der Ortschaft links über den Parkplatz. Von nun an immer dem Jakobsweg folgen bis ihr in Buchenbühl auf den grünen Strich stoßt. Diesem folgen bis man wieder am Wildpferdgehege rauskommt. An diesem Entlang und schließlich auf Trails von dort wieder Richtung ERlangen abbiegen.
