Der Weg nach Sunnegga beginnt in Zermatt Ortsmitte und ist der Einstieg für viele Touren im Zermatter Gebiet. Die Straße führt angenehm bergauf, ehe der Untergrund schottrig wird. Bei ca. Höhenmeter 2000 erreicht man "Patrullarve". Kurz danach und noch an weiteren Stellen kreuzt eine gut ausgebaute Downhillstrecke. "Tufteren" lockt mit einer gemütlichen Einkehr, unser Ziel ist aber nicht mehr weit. Sunnegga ist der Ausgangspunkt für viele Touren mit dem Bike. Zurück geht es auf der gleichen Strecke. Aber kurz unter "Patrullarve" mündet die Runde links in den "Europaweg". Und dieser Weg ist das absolute Trailerlebnis. Flowing schlängeln sich mehrere Möglichkeiten der Fahrbarkeit durch den Wald. Technisch gut zu beherrschen surft man mit einem Grinsen gen Zermatt. Ab und an sollte man innehalten und die Aussicht auf das Dorf geniessen. Der Trail spuckt den Fahrer wieder in Zermatt aus. Nun hat man sich einen Espresso im Dörfli redlich verdient und trinkt auf Europa.
