Die Tour startet in Connewitz. Über den Auwald und die Industriestraße fährt man zum Karl-Heine-Kanal und die Stadt in RIchtung Lindenauer Hafen hinter sich. Nach dem Lindenauer Hafen beginnen die Trails am Elster-Saale-Kanal. Flowige und schnelle Trails direkt am Kanalbecken. Man kann vor der A9 nach rechts abbiegen und (dem Track folgend) durch ein kleines Waldstück Richtung Sachsen-Anhalt oder hat alternativ die Möglichkeit, dem Kanal bis zu dessen Ende zu folgen und dort wieder auf den Track einbiegen. Nach kleineren Dörfern gelangt man auf die Salzstraße, der man bis zu den beiden Seen folgt. An der Nordspitze des ersten See biegt man dann auf den Weg entlang der Elster zurück nach Leipzig ein. Damit endet der eher Wiesen- und Waldweglastige Teil der Strecke und das Wadenbeißen beginnt. Man hat dann die Möglichkeit entweder über die alte B6 oder weiterhin an der Elster zurück nach Leipzig zu fahren, so dass man am Ende - unabhängig vom eingeschlagenen Weg - auf Höhe des Zentralstadions in Leipzig ankommt.
