Zuerst 700 Hm Auffahrt auf einer Teerstraße, dann 400 Hm eine Forststraße und man befindet sich auf einer wunderbaren Hochalm über dem Pustertal und Eisacktal. Der Blick Richtung Norden zu dem Alpenhauptkamm ist frei. Für uns begann die Tour bei dem empfehlenswerten Hotel Alpenrose in Montal (http://www.hotelalpenrose.com/). Auffahrt auf der steilen Autostraße nach Ellen und weiter bis zum letzten Parkplatz vor der Schranke. Bis hierher frei Sicht, ab der Forststraße viel im schattigen Wald. Man erreicht die Hochfläche und kann sich nun eine Alm nach der anderen zum Einkehren aussuchen. Wir machten an der Rastnerhütte Pause und genossen das Panorama, die verschneiten Berge des Alpenhauptkammes. Bis hierher 2 ¼ Std. Fahrzeit. Ein Teil unserer Gruppe fuhr zurück und übers Astjoch 2194m und die anschließende Abfahrt über die Kaserhütten (2128m, ab hier Forststraße) direkt nach Montal. Die anderen (Aufzeichnung!) über die Ronerhütte, um den Getzenberg herum, auf der Banwaldstraße, an der Leachenalm vorbei und dann auf dem Wanderweg 14a runter ins Pustertal und auf dem Radweg über Kiens zurück nach Montal. Aufzeichung laut GPS: 1350 Hm, 3 ½ Std. Gesamtfahrzeit, 2 ¼ Std. Pausen, 46 km.

First 700 meters driveway on a paved road, then 400 Hm a forest road and you are on a wonderful mountain pasture overlooking the Val Pusteria and Val d'Isarco. The view north towards the main Alpine ridge is free. For us, the tour started at the recommended hotel Alpenrose in Montal (http://www.hotelalpenrose.com/). Driveway on steep motorway to Ellen and continue to the last parking lot in front of the barrier. So far free view from the forestry road a lot in the shady forest. You can reach the plateau and can now choose a pasture after another to stop by. We stopped at the Rastnerhütte break and enjoyed the panorama, the snowy mountains of the Alps. So far 2 & frac14; Hours. Driving time. Part of our group went back and Astjoch over 2194m and the subsequent descent over the Kaser huts (2128m, from here forest road) directly by Montal. The other (recording!) Over the Ronerhütte to the Getzenberg around, passing on the Banwaldstraße, at the Leachenalm and then on the trail down into the Val Pusteria 14a and on the bike path on Kien's back to Montal. Lap recording according to GPS: 1350 Hm, 3 & frac12; . Hrs total driving time, 2 & frac14; Hours. Breaks, 46 km.
