Start ist in St. Jodok auf Asphalt. An der Kirche links vorbei in den Ortsteil Leite der "Alten Schmirner Straße" folgen. Es geht zunächst recht flach los, unter der Bahnunterführung hindurch und in weiterer Folge dem Schmirnerbach mit seinen Stufen entlang. Die erste Hürde ist ein kleines Steilstück mit über 20% Steigung. Danach geht es flach in den Ortsteil Rohrach. Einige hundert Meter bevor die Straße auf die Schmirner Hauptstraße mündet geht es links den Berg Richtung "Hochgenein" (Weg Nr. 65). In weiterer Folge der Wegbeschilderung richtung "Lawinenverbauung" folgen (regulärer Wanderweg sehr gut beschildert). Bis ca. 1600m noch Asphalt, dann Forstweg bis zum Ziel. Der GPS Track geht bis zu einem Arbeitercontainer der Wildbach- und Lawinenverbauung direkt hinter einem "Lebensgefahr" Schild. Der Weg endet noch etwas weiter hinten. Die Steigung ist während der gesamten Tour mit Ausnahme der Auffahrt nach Rohrach und dem anschließenden Flachstück sehr konstant (etwa 10%). Insgesamt eine sehr schöne Tour, wenn man sich (gemütliche) 2 Stunden Zeit nehmen will, ca. 1000HM machen will und einen wunderschönen Blick auf das Schmirntal und hinaus ins Wipptal haben möchte. Diese Tour ist auch vor allem für diejenigen gedacht, die nicht so viel "Verkehr" mögen, will heißen, dass es passieren kann, dass dir auf der gesamten Tour niemand entgegenkommt.

Overall, a very nice tour when (cozy) wants to take 2 hours, will make about 1000HM and want to have a beautiful view of the Schmirntal and out into the Wipptal. This tour is also intended especially for those who are not so much & quot; Transport & quot; like to say, that it may happen that no one comes to meet you on the tour.
