Von Ahrweiler/Bachem zum Steinbruch am Dungskopf Die Tour beginnt am der Jugendgästehaus in Bachem und führt die Ahr entlang nach Heppingen und weiter nach Gimmingen. Dort ein kleines Stück auf einem schmalen Pfad den Bach entlang und über die L80 den Berg hinauf Richtung Landskronerhof. Kurz davor links abbiegen und über Wald- und Flurwege Richtung Kirchdaun. Oberhalb von Kirchdaun die K39 überquerend trifft man auf eine Schutzhütte am Waldrand. Ab hier verläuft die Tour ein gutes Stück auf dem Jakobsweg am Scheidskopf vorbei, die L79 überquerend. Nach ca. 300m wird der Jakobsweg verlassen und es geht einen nicht so optimalen Waldweg entlang Richtung Dungkopf. Am Dungkopf angelangt geht es entlang des eingezäunten Steinbruchs um den Dungkopf herum. Am nordlichen Ende waren schon einige "Helfer" so freundlich und haben ein Strück Zaun abmontiert und an die Seite gestellt. So war es möglich sich den See im Dungkopf anzusehen. Am Ende des Waldwegs der zum See führt stand ein schon zugewachsenes Schild "Baden und Tauchen verboten. Lebensgefahr". Recht haben sie, die Aufstellter des Verbotsschildes, denn sehr hohe, steile und absturzgefährdete Wände umfassen den See auf dem Seerosen schwammen und an dem scheinbar schon lange keine Menschenseele mehr war. Aber stimmt nicht, am Ufer lag eine Plastiktüte und daneben eine leere Malboro-Packung. An das Ufer gelangt man über einen Trampelpfad, der ca. 5 Höhenmeter überwindet. Nachdem die Ruhe und Einsamkeit auf einen gewirkt hat geht es zurück zum Zaun und außerhalb des Zauns entlang an das südliche Ende des Dungkopf. Zwei alte verlassene Wohncontainer stehen hier noch in der wunderschönen Natur. Da hier der Weg (Pfad) zuende ist, geht es ca 300m zurück und dann links ab in den Wald. An der folgenden Kreuzung wieder links weiter in den Wald hinein. Dieser Weg ist zwar in der Karte eingezeichnet, aber von Menschen schon lange nicht mehr begangen, geschweige denn befahren worden. Nur die Tiere des Waldes benutzen ihn. Das war eine Herausforderung! Auf der Höhe angelangt geht es leicht bergab zur L79. Diese überquerend auf halben Wege nach Nierendorf steht ein Schild zur "Petrushütte". Kurz einen Abstecher machend, um festzustellen, das dies eine recht kleine Hütte ist, geht es weiter nach Nierendorf über Feldwege und dann den Bach entlang Richtung Rischmühle. Achtung: 500m vor der Rischmühle macht der Feldweg eine scharfe Linkskuve. Da man auf dem Feldweg vorher recht zügig fahren kann, kann es passieren, dass man von der Kurve überrascht wird :-). Ab der Rischmühle geht es auf der L80 wieder zurück nach Gimmingen, Heppingen, am Kurhaus vorbei zum Ausgangspunkt der Tour - dem Jugendgästehaus. From Ahrweiler / Bachem to the quarry on dung head The tour starts at the youth hostel in Bachem and leads the Ahr River to Heppingen and on to Gimmingen. There, a small piece on a narrow path along the stream and up the hill towards the L80 Landskronerhof. Just before and turn left on forest and field paths towards Kirchdaun.
