von Schwaz aus die Husslstraße entlang, am Bergwerk und Planetarium vorbei. Weiter die "Alte Landstraße" entlang bis nach Rotholz. Rechts abzweigen (Schild) und ab jetzt geht's stetig bergauf in Richtung Schlitterberg. Den Wegweiser "Kaunzalm" (1525m) folgen. Hier ist ein Brunnen zum Nachfüllen der Trinkflasche. Jetzt geht's ein bischen steiler bergauf bis zum zum Speichersee Arzjoch. Zum Spieljoch (kann man auch auslassen) geht's mäßig steil in Serpentinen hoch. Wegweiser "Zur Mittelstation" folgen und dann die Abzweigung (rechts bergauf) nach Geolsalm (1733m) folgen. Von der Geolsalm geht's auf Almwegen bergab (Wegweiser Schellenbergalm folgen) bis zur Hauptstrasse. Hier geht's wieder aufwärts, die Hauptstraße entlang, bis kurz vor Hochfügen. Hier rechts den Fahrweg über das Gamsteinhaus zur "Loas" (Schnitzel, Montag Ruhetag) folgen. Von der Loas geht's bergab (Hoferweg, Hotel Grafenast, ca. 20 Minuten) bis nach Schwaz.
