Von Mattersburg ausgehend über die Hubertuskapelle Richtung Bundesstraße 50. Entlang der B 50 Richtung Süden, bei Bauernhof Abzweigung nach Links in den Wald. Auffahrt zum Herrentsich, vorbei bei der "Villa Waldfried", ein Güterweg, teilweise durch den Wald (Navigationspunkt "Dreimarkstein"). Von dort noch 1,5 km bis zum Herrentsich, der direkt an der öst.-ung. Grenze liegt. Abfahrt Richtung Marz/Rohrbach, vorbei bei einem Jagdhaus und durch Obstgärten, Querung der Landesstraße. Weiter Richtung Norden - Marzer Kogel, bis man auf "Kogelradweg" gelangt. Weiter am Radweg (Asphalt) bis Walbersdorf, dort bei der Kirche links und dann gerade weiter auf einem Feldweg nach Pöttelsdorf zum Biotop. Querung der Bundesstraße 50, Güterweg Richtung Siegleß, vorbei bei den Windrädern, dann geht es wieder in den Wald, über Siegleß nach Bad Sauerbrunn.
