Die Route wurde mit dem Garmin Oregon 300 aufgezeichnet und mit Garmin Base Camp nachbearbeitet. Die Tour geht überwiegend über Wald-, Wirtschafts- und Schotterwege, Singeltrails und kurze Sandwege. Start und Ziel sind in Düsseldorf an der Ernst Poensgen Allee wo man auch gut parken kann. Die Tour kann aber auch von einem anderen Punkt gestartet werden: z.B. bei Ratingen auf dem Sammelparkplatz Brachter Straße oder zwischen Lintorf und Hösel auf dem Waldparkplatz. Von Düsseldorf aus bin ich die Tour bis zum Schwarzbachtal im Uhrzeigersinn gefahren. Wo sich die Route kreuzt geht es am Schwarzbach weiter gerade aus bis nach Groß Ilbeck und weiter zur Auermühle. Nun geht es weiter Richtung Hösel, Lintorf, Rheinisches Industrie Museum, Naturbühne Blauer See bis man wieder an der Auermühle ankommt. Dort kann man einkehren. Auf dem Rückweg geht es weiter in Richtung A 44 Ausfahrt Ratingen Ost. Ab dort geht es weiter am Golfplatz vorbei runter zum Schwarzbach wo wir auf den Hinweg treffen. Von dort geht es hoch zum Aaper- und Grafenberger Wald an der Rennbahn und am Wildpark vorbei und durch den Wald wieder runter nach Düsseldorf zum Startpunkt.
