Dit is de 2010 editie van de Intervet Schering-Plough Global Supply Chain Engineering Services Animal Health Mountainbike Challenge. De tocht start bij camping 'Zinkviooltje en gaat van daaruit zuidwaarts door de Zuid-Limburgse heuvels, welke al de 1e kilometers voor brandende kuiten zorgt. De route gaat in Belgie vervolgens over in het vaste route netwerk rond Aubel, waar achtereenvolgende de rode, blauwe en groene bordjes gevolgd dienen te worden (maar een GPS is toch echt veel handiger). De tocht voert zeer afwisselend over asfalt, brede zandwegen en technische single-tracks. Afhankelijk van de weersomstandigheden zijn deze laatste gemakkelijk tot vrij moeilijk (nat weer). Steeds weer heb je na de inspannende beklimmingen een prachtig uitzicht over het landschap rond Aubel. In Aubel is het na een paar uurtjes toeren goed toeven op een van de terassen van dit leuke dorp. Na een laatste snelle passage over een breed pad, welk een aantal km vals plat omhoog loopt, en daarna enkele km vals plat omlaag, kom je weer op de route die je terugvoert naar Epen, maar in de andere richting toch heel anders uitziet.

This is the 2010 edition of the Intervet Schering-Plough Global Supply Chain Engineering Services Animal Health Mountainbike Challenge. The tour starts at camping 'Zinkviooltje and go from there south through the hills of South Limburg, which is already the 1st mileage for burning calves causes. The route in Belgium, then into the fixed route network around Aubel, where successive red, blue and green signs should be monitored (but a GPS is really much more convenient). The trip takes varied over asphalt, wide dirt roads and technical single tracks. Depending on the weather the latter are easy to fairly difficult (wet weather). One repeatedly after strenuous climbs a & nbsp; stunning views over the countryside around Aubel. Aubel it after a few hours of touring, relax on one of the terraces of this charming village. After a last quick passage over a wide path, which some km false flat goes up, and after a few km false flat down, you get back on the route that takes you back to Epen, but in the other direction it really different.
