Aufgrund der guten Erreichbarkeit von den Hotels im Süden, den mittleren Anforderungen an Kondition und Technik und der tollen Landschaft der Klassiker auf Gran Canaria. Nennenswerten Pkw- und Busverkehr gibt es nur auf den ersten Kilometern. Die Tour startet und endet In Maspalomas am Centro Salud, wo ein großer, kostenloser Parkplatz zur Verfügung steht. Zunächst folgt man der Ausschilderung Montaña la Data / Palmitos Park und passiert kurz darauf eine Go Kart Bahn und anschließend den Wasserpark Aqua Sur. Auf den ersten Kilometer kann man sich in Ruhe Warmfahren, da nahezu keine Steigung vorhanden ist. Ab der Straßengabelung zum Palmitos Park (Kilometer 2,7) kommt die erste nennenswerte Steigung. Hier muss man sich rechts halten und auf der GC503 durch Montaña la Data fahren. Auf der GC503 geht es weiter zur Nobelsiedlung Monte Leon, vorbei an der Finca Justus Frantz. An der Kreuzung mit dem gefliesten Ortsplan (km 6,5) hält man sich links (das Sackgassenschild gilt für die rechte Straße). Wenn man nach einigen Kilometern plötzlich Affen- und Vogelgeschrei hört, dann befindet man sich direkt über dem Palmitos Park und kann unten im Tal die Delfine in Ihren Becken sehen. Hier oben ist nahezu kein Verkehr mehr und die Straße in einem hervorragenden Zustand. Bevor die Straße wieder bergab geht gibt es rechter Hand einen Parkplatz von dem aus man einen tollen Ausblick auf das Tal und den Stausee von Ayagaures hat. Auf den nächsten Kilometern werden dann ordentlich Höhenmeter vernichtet und an der Kirche in Ayagaures angekommen biegt man bei Kilometer 13,4 an der T-Kreuzung links ab. Nachdem man die Staumauer überquert hat geht es über die gut ausgebaute Piste hoch zur Degollada Ancha, die den höchsten Punkt der Tour markiert. Allzu viel Höhenangst sollte man nicht haben, da im weiteren Verlauf die Piste am Abgrund verläuft. Die einsame Berglandschaft steht im krassen Gegensatz zum nur wenige km entfernten Playa del Inglés und mit etwas Glück kann man auch Adler sehen. Bei Kilometer 25,7 trifft man auf die aus Fataga kommende Piste und auf dem gegenüber liegenden Hang kann man die viel befahrene GC60 sehen. Hier hält man sich scharf rechts und fährt im flotten Downhill auf der nun etwas holperigen Piste Richtung Maspalomas. Zum Ende der Tour hin verläuft die Route entlang des Flussbetts und nach stärkeren Regenfällen kann die Piste schon mal überschwemmt sein. Hinter dem Schotterwerk geht es nicht der Straße links den Berg hoch sondern geradeaus dem Verlauf des Flussbetts folgend. Nachdem man unter der Autobahn hindurch gefahren ist sind es nur noch einige hundert Meter bis zum Centro Salud. 56% Piste, 44% Straße Eine etwas einfachere Variante ist es, bei km 2,1 über die GC504 durch den Barranco de la Data nach Ayagaures zu fahren. Die Route direkt am Palmitos Park vorbei ist seit einiger Zeit nicht mehr möglich, da hinter dem Park die Weiterfahrt durch ein Tor gesperrt ist.
