Startpunkt der Pasubio Tour ist für mich der Parkplatz am Passo Pian delle Fugazze. Der Nebel hängt sehr tief und behindert die Sicht auf die umliegenden Berge. Das stört aber nicht, im Gegenteil, ich finde Gefallen an dieser lautlosen und geheimnisvollen Herbststimmung. In unzähligen Kurven schlängelt sich die Strada degli Eroi ( Straße der Helden) nach oben. Die Straße ist immer gut zu fahren, sie wird erst im oberen Teil, vor der Galerie de Havet etwas grobschotterig und felsig. An der Galerie de Havet mache ich eine kurze Pause und schieße noch n paar Fotos im Nebel, ohne zu wissen, dass das die letzten Nebelbilder sein werden. Ich durchfahre den Tunnel, was ca. 30 Sekunden dauert, und stehe dann in einer ganz anderen Welt. Damit habe ich nicht gerechnet. Die Sonne strahlt mir aus einem tiefblauen Himmel entgegen. Völlig verblüfft stehe ich in einer Bergwelt mit grandioser Fernsicht, mein nächstes Ziel, das Rifugio A. Papa ist schon an der gegenüberliegenden Felswand zu erblicken. Die Strada degli Eroi ist nun eine kühn in den Berg gesprengte Trasse, welche über einem Schwindel erregenden Abgrund stark ausgesetzt entlang führt. Die Befahrung wird zu einem kleinen Abenteuer. Je höher ich komme, desto besser erkenne ich das Nebelloch aus dem ich mich hochgeschraubt habe. Am Rifugio Achille Papa sehe ich bei einer Dose Cola dass sich die Wolken der norditalienischen Tiefebene am Pasubio stauen, das kann mir aber egal sein, ich befinde mich über diesen Wolken, ich fliege... Nach einem kurzen Fotostop am Eingang der Strada del 52 Galerie geht meine Tour weiter. Ein kleines Sträßchen führt mich etwa drei Kilometer weiter zu den Geröllfeldern der Cima Palon auf knapp 2200 m Höhe. Kurz vor meinem Ziel komme ich am Arco Romano vorbei. Das gemauerteTorgewölbe erinnert still an die 13000 durch Kriegs- und Naturgewalten Getöteten des Ersten Weltkrieges hier am Pasubio. Obwohl vereinzelt schon Schnee liegt, entdecke ich immer wieder Steinhaufen und Krater, die wohl von Granateneinschlägen herrühren. In dieser geschichtsträchtigen Landschaft höre ich nur mein eigenes Atmen und das Knirschen meiner Reifen im Schnee, in meinem Kopf stelle ich mir vor, wie laut die Kanonen und Explosionen damals geklungen haben... Completely stunned I'm in a mountain world with splendid panoramic view, my next destination, the Rifugio A. Papa is already to be seen on the opposite cliff. The Strada degli Eroi is now a bold blasted into the mountain route, which greatly exposed leads causing dizziness over a precipice along. Use of motor vehicles becomes a little adventure. The higher I get, the better I see the mist from the hole I screwed up myself. At Rifugio Achille Papa I see at a can of Coke that accumulate the clouds of the North Italian Plain at Pasubio that can me but his care, I am about these clouds, I fly ... After a brief photo stop at the entrance of the Strada del 52 Gallery will continue my tour. A small road leads me about three kilometers further to the scree slopes of Cima Palon to almost 2200 m height. Shortly before my destination I pass the Arco Romano.
