Eine steile MTB-Runde auf guten Wegen oberhalb von Berchtesgaden zu geschichtsträchtigem Ort mit phantastischer Aussicht. Beginn der Runde am besten auf dem gebührenfreien PP am Eisstadion. Wenige Meter Richtung Süden und vor der Gaststätte links ab auf die Rodelbahn. Die 5 Stunden Gehzeit zum Kehlstein auf einem Wegweiser bitte ignorieren! Gleich zu Beginn und auch zwischendurch recht steil, laut Tacho immer wieder gute 20 %. Am Ende dieses Kieswegs überquert man die Scharitzkehlstraße (Bundesstraße), hält sich links und fährt dem Track nach eine sehr steile Rampe rauf. Sie führt zu einem Teersträßchen, auf dem man die Kehlsteinstraße erreicht. Hier rechts und gleich wieder links Richtung Kehlstein. Die Straße geradeaus ist gesperrt. Ist der Busverkehr eingestellt (im Internet nachschauen), so hat man meines Wissens nach nichts dagegen, wenn man hier weiterfährt. Ansonsten: immer den Wegweisern folgen in vielen Serpentinen bis zum Buswendeplatz unterhalb des Kehlsteinhauses. Im Spätherbst u.U. Schneereste (siehe Fotos). Beim Eingang zum Lifttunnel muß man das Rad in der Regel abstellen, der Fußweg ist tabu, außer im Winter. Dann liegt jedoch Schnee drauf und er ist deshalb auch nur zu Fuß begehbar. Am Gipfel eine grandiose Sicht. Schade, dass nur 5 Fotos eingestellt werden können. Zurück wieder zum Fahrrad und auf der Busstraße bis zum WP „links abbiegen“. Für diesen Wegabschnitt besteht ein Fahrverbot für Räder. Aber: Im Winter (siehe oben) und spätabends nach Abfahrt des letzten Busses werden meinen Erkenntnissen zufolge Räder geduldet. Dann auf schmaler Teerstraße nach Scharitzkehl, später die B überqueren, zum Schluß auf der Vorderbrandstraße nach Berchtesgaden zurück. Aufzeichnung laut Tacho und GPS: Zeit bis Gipfel ca. 2.10 Std., 12 % Durchschnittssteigung, steilstes Stück 26 %. Gesamtzeit ohne Pausen 3.10 Std., 26 km, 1575 Hm.

A steep MTB-round on good trails above Berchtesgaden to a historic place with fantastic views. Start of Round Top at the free PP on the ice rink. A few meters to the south and in front of the restaurant left on the toboggan run. 5 hours walking to the Eagles Nest on a direction sign, please ignore! Right at the beginning and in between steep, noisy speedometer always a good 20%. At the end of this dirt road that crosses the Scharitzkehl road (main road), keep left and drive to the track after a very steep ramp up. It leads to a Teersträßchen on which one reaches the Kehlsteinstraße. Turn right and immediately turn left towards Eagle. The road ahead is blocked. Is the bus service set (in Internet look), so one has to my knowledge not mind if you continue here. Otherwise: always follow the signs in many serpentines to the bus turning point below the Eagle's Nest. In late autumn u.U. Snow residues (see photos). At the entrance to the lift tunnel you have to park the bike in general, the walk is taboo, except in winter. But then it is snow and it is therefore only accessible on foot. At the summit a magnificent view. Too bad that only five photos can be set. Back again to the bike and on the Busstraße to WP & bdquo, turn left & ldquo ;. There is a ban on wheels for this path segment. But: in winter (see above) and late in the evening after the departure of the last bus is according to my knowledge tolerated wheels. Then, on a narrow tarred road to Scharitzkehl, later the B cross, in the end on the front fire road to Berchtesgaden. Recording according to the speedometer and GPS: time to peak approximately 10.2 hours, 12% average gradient, steepest piece of 26%.. Total time without pauses 03.10 hrs., 26 km, 1575 hm.
