Landschaftlich wunderschöne Tour im Glarner Land Als Start der Tour eignen sich das Walenseeufer, der Escherkanal oder Näfels. Bei den beiden erst genannten Orten kann man sich im Flachen locker warm fahren, ehe es ab Näfels hinauf in die Kerenzerberge geht. Anfangs Richtung Filzbach auf der Hauptstrasse biegt man schon bald auf eine geteerte Nebenstrasse ein auf der man rasch an Höhe gewinnt. Tendentiell fährt man von West nach Ost und hat so immer wieder einen imposanten Blick auf den Walensee und im weiteren Verlauf der Tour auch auf die Churfirsten. Ein Muss (zumindest im Sommer) ist ein Badestop am kleinen Talsee, der in eindrucksvoller Bergkulisse nach dem langen Anstieg zum Erfrischen einlädt. Leider kann man auch fast bis an den See mit dem Auto fahren, so dass man auch hier oben nicht alleine ist. Erfrischt vom Bad folgt eine schöne Singletrailpassage und Schotterabfahrt ehe es wieder auf Asphalt den zweiten und letzten längeren Anstieg hinaufgeht. Die nun folgende Abfahrt ist Spass pur. Den kleinen Anstieg von Erderisstatt bis Rotlaui sollte man unbedingt noch in Kauf nehmen (5-10 min), denn dann folgt eine ziemlich rassige Abfahrt größtenteils über Fahrwege und Singletrails bis hinab an den Walensee bei Murg. Von dort geht es zurück am See entlang zum Ausgangspunkt. Aufgrund der Enge des Tales muss man hier größtenteils leider die unmittelbare Nähe der Autobahn und Zugstrecke in Kauf nehmen.

Beautiful scenic tour in Glarus As the start of the tour, the whales lakeshore, the Escher canal or Naefels are. In the two first named places you can go easy on the flat warm, before it goes into the Kerenzerberge from Naefels up. Initially Filzbach direction on the main road, turn soon one on a paved side street on which you should climb. Tends traveling from west to east and has so repeatedly a commanding view of Lake Walen and the rest of the tour on Churfirsten. A must have (at least in summer) is a swim stop at the small valley lake that invites in impressive mountain scenery after the long climb to refresh. Unfortunately, you can drive almost to the lake by car, so that one is not even up here alone. Refreshed by the bath is followed by a nice single trail passage and gravel downhill on asphalt before it goes up the second and last longer rise again. The subsequent departure is pure fun. The small increase of Erderisstatt to Rotlaui and you must definitely take into account (5-10 min), because it follows a fairly thrilling downhill mostly on routes and single trails down to the Lake Walen at Murg. From there it goes back along the lake to the starting point. Due to the narrowness of the valley you have here largely unfortunately the immediate vicinity of the highway and railway line to accept.
