Mountainbike Tour von Plakias nach Rodakino entlang der Küste. Zurück geht es dann eine Etage höher auf der Straße. Die Tour startet in Plakias am Hotel Lofos. Der GPS Track hat am Anfang einen kleinen "Ausflug" durch das Hinterland von Plakias Richtung "Alte Mühle". Den muss man natürlich nicht unbedingt nachfahren - zumal man mit dem Bike sowieso nicht ganz bis zur Mühle kommt. Die eigentliche Tour führt dann nach Westen aus Plakias hinaus zunächst auf dem asphaltierten Fahrweg immer entlang der Küste in Richtung "Souda Bay". Hier führt der Weg an einer Taverne zunächst nach rechts von der Küste weg, dann aber gleich wieder links rein und man erreicht den leicht ansteigenden Schotterweg, den man schon die ganze Zeit im Auge hat. Auf diesem Weg bleibt man bis man den Strand bei Rodakino erreicht. Nur einmal gabelt sich der Weg kurz vor Rodakino; da fährt man den Weg links hinunter. Am Strand von Rodakino angekommen geht es wieder auf Asphalt weiter. Man hält sich rechts und fährt ins Dorf Rodakino hinauf. Dort geht es dann auf der Straße nach Plakias zurück. Man fährt zunächst Richtung Sellia und am Anfang von Sellia geht ein ausgeschilderter Fahrweg hinunter nach Plakias. Unten treffen wir wieder auf die Straße nach Souda und da geht's dann zurück nach Plakias. Der Schotterweg entlang der Küste ist im großen und ganzen gut befahrbar. Unüberwindbar steile Stellen gibt es keine, nur der Schotter ist an einigen Stellen arg lose und tief. Der ein oder andere wird ein paar Meter schieben müssen. Auf der Straße zurück ist relativ wenig los (ich bin die Tour im September gefahren), so dass einem nicht ständig irgendwelche Autos um die Ohren fahren.

The GPS track was in the beginning a small & quot; excursion & quot; quot through the hinterland of Plakias & direction; Old Mill & quot ;. The course you have not-missed - especially as it comes with the bike anyway not quite up to the mill. The actual tour led initially quot on the blacktop road and continue along the coast towards the west from Plakias & beyond; Souda Bay & quot ;. Here the way to a tavern leads first to the right away from the coast, but then immediately left pure and you reach the slightly uphill dirt road that you already have all the time in mind. In this way you will reach the beach at one Rodakino. Only once the road forks just before Rodakino; as you drive down the path to the left. Arriving at the beach of Rodakino it goes back further on asphalt. Keep to the right and go up to the village Rodakino. There it goes back on the road to Plakias. First you drive towards Sellia and at the beginning of Sellia is a signposted track down to Plakias. Below we meet again on the road to Souda and since it's off back to Plakias. The dirt road along the coast is easy to drive by and large. Insurmountable steep places there are none, only the gravel in some places arg loose and deep. One or the other will have to move a few feet. On the road back is relatively little going on (I'm the tour went in September), so that one does not ever go any cars around the ears.
