Diese landschaftlich sehr abwechslungsreiche Tour führt am Anfang über eine kleine Asphaltstrasse nach Les Chavennes oberhalb von Les Gets um dann kurz über Schotterwege bis zum Col de Ranfolly zu führen. Von hier ab über die D354 auf den Spuren der Tour de France in umgekehrter Richtung auf Asphalt zum Col de Joux Plan mit seinem kleinen See und eine rasante Abfahrt von 700 Höhenmeteren, bevor die Strasse kurz vor Le Clos Parchet nach rechts in den Hang wieder verlassen wird. Ab hier geht es teils auf Waldwegen, teils auf Schotterpisten, die sich bei Regen auch in Bäche verwandeln, immer bergan bergab im Hang entlang, bevor kurz hinter Les Lanches eine extren steile und lange (je nach Können 1,0 bis 1,5km) Schiebepassage folgt. Ab der Hütte "Nonsec", wo ein Tisch zu einer Rast nach dem langen Anstieg einläd, ist es wieder möglich zu fahren und man gelangt in einer andere Welt: ist der Aufstieg noch im dunklen Wald geschehen kommt man jetzt auf kleine moorige Lichtungen, auf den Holzstämme die Durchfahrbarkeit garantieren. Wieder auf der Höhe folgt der Weg mehr oder weniger wieder dem Grad um dann ab der Pointe de la Turche über die Wiesen, welche im Winter als Pisten benutzt werden, ins Tal nach Les Gets zurück zu führen.
