Eine fast endloser Anstieg von 70m ü.NN auf über 1800m um anschließend in einem genauso endlosen Downhill die Qualen des Aufstiegs zu vergessen. Die Tour startet in Arco und verläuft zunächst über einen gut ausgebauten Radweg am Fluss Sarca entlang bis nach Torbole. Torbole in Richtung Malcesine durchqueren. Am Ortsende befindet sich der unscheinbare Hafen von Torbole (Kassenhäuschen mit Flachdach). Von dort geht die Fahrt zunächst mit dem Schiff (ca. 30min, 9km) nach Limone. Fahrkarten können kurz vor Fahrtantritt am bereits erwähnten Kassenhäuschen gelöst werden. Kosten pro Erwachsener+Rad: ca. 7€ (Stand 2009), Abfahrt: 8:45h , 9:40h, 10:25h, 11:15h (Stand 2012), unverbindlich, bitte selbst prüfen (www.gardanotizie.it/navigarda-navigazione-lago-di-garda-battelli-e-servizi/)!. Es spielt keine nennenswerte Rolle ob das Schiff in Limone centro oder in Limone traghetto stoppt, die beiden Häfen sind ca. 1 km auseinander. In Limone startet der quälende Aufstieg über Voltino nach Vesio. Es ist ein heftiger Aufstieg in voller Sonne (tagsüber, falls sie scheint) über Asphaltstraßen. Ich meine, dass der Verkehr am Wochenende besser ist als werktags. In Voltino ist zunächst das Schlimmste überstanden. Gegenüber der Kirche, ist ein kleines Lädchen zum Nachfüllen der Getränkevorräte (Öffnungszeiten!). Den Ort Vesio durchqueren und anschließend ein Stück Überland. Kurz vor der großen Molkerei verlässt man endlich die Verkehrsstraßen und fährt über eine Schotterstraße ein kleines Tal hinab. Nach einiger Zeit beginnt der schier endlose Uphill in Richtung Tremalzo. Jetzt Kette links und meditieren! Vor dem letzten Aufstieg zum Tremalzopass befindet sich das Rifugio Garda. So es hoffentlich offen hat ist das die Gelegenheit, dem Kohlenhydrateraubbau ein Ende zu bereiten. Nun, völlig ermattet und unter Fressnarkose, noch einmal bergauf zum Tremalzopass strampeln (noch knapp 200 Höhenmeter). Links liegt der Tremalzogipfel, der allerdings nur zu Fuß erreicht werden kann. Nach dem Tremalzotunnel beginnt der Downhill bis zum Passo Nota. Auch hier ist nochmal ein Rifugio. An diesem vorbei geht es mehr oder weniger flach weiter in Richtung Passo Guil. Bis dorthin sind die Pfade allesamt gut befahrbar. Am Passo Guil ignoriert man verdutzt das Sackgassenschild und folgt dem schmalen Pfad zum Passo Rochetta. Dort angelangt, beginnt ein etwas schwierigerer, aber nicht all zu langer, Trail bergab. Wer es kürzer und knackiger will, fährt leicht rechts den Weg 422B. Beide Wege führen auf den selben Schotterweg, der sanft bergab führt. Bei Malga Larici (Palaer?) angelangt sind die 200m Weg zum Aussichtspunkt Pflicht. Von diesem Punkt aus hat man einen atembaraubenden Blick aus 900m Höhe nach Riva, Torbole, zum Ostufer, auf Limone und bei guter Sicht kann man sogar Sirmione am Südufer des Gardasee erkennen. Von den Eindrücken überwältigt startet eine rasante Abfahrt nach Pregasina. In und kurz nach Pregasina gibt es die Möglichkeit ein Getränk einzunehmen. Die weitere Abfahrt ist nicht mehr so anspruchsvoll. Kurz nach Pregasina, direkt vor der Tunneleinfahrt (nicht in den Tunnel einfahren!), biegt man rechts ab. Dieser letzte Teil der Abfahrt, auf der alten Ponale-Straße, bietet immer wieder bombastische Blicke auf den See und dessen Ufer. Man fährt durch einige Tunnel ab bis nach Riva. Von Riva bis zum Ausgangspunkt zurück fährt man leider entlang von stark befahrenen Verkehrsstraßen, aber es gibt am Rand durchgängig eine Radspur. Die Tour kann selbstverständlich auch in die andere Richtung gefahren werden. Der Ausblick über den See von der alten Ponale-Straße aus ab Riva kann natürlich bergauf viel viel besser genossen werden. Allerdings ist der Anstieg zum Passo Rochetta - für mich zumindest bergauf nicht fahrbar - d.h. also rund 30min schieben! Ausserdem ist zu beachten, dass das letzte Schiff von Limone nach Torbole meines Wissens nach um 18:45h fährt. Notnagel ist um 19:35h nach Riva. Letzte Alternative ist die reguläre Autostraße - aber das grenzt an Selbstmord!

It plays no significant role if the ship stops in Limone Limone in centro or traghetto, the two ports are about 1 km apart. In Limone the agonizing climb over Voltino starts after Vesio. It is a violent rise in full sun (during the day, if it appears) on paved roads. I mean that traffic on weekends is better than weekdays. In Voltino the worst is initially survived. Opposite the church, a small little shop to refill the drinks inventories (opening times). Through the town Vesio and then a piece overland. Just before the big dairy you finally leave the roads and drives a small valley along a gravel road down. After some time, the seemingly endless uphill starts towards Tremalzo. Now chain left and meditate! Before the final climb to the Rifugio Tremalzo Garda is located. So hopefully it will open has the opportunity to put an end to Kohlenhydrateraubbau. Struggle now, completely exhausted and under-eating anesthesia, again uphill to Tremalzo (just under 200 meters altitude). On the left is the Tremalzogipfel that can be achieved, however, only on foot. After Tremalzotunnel the downhill begins to Passo Nota. Also here is a Rifugio again. At this pass, it is more or less flat in the direction of Passo Guil. Until then, the paths are all easily passable. At Passo Guil ignoring puzzled the dead end sign and follow the narrow path to Passo Rocchetta. Once there, a little more difficult, but not too long, trail starts downhill. Who wants it shorter and crisper, easily goes right the way 422B. Both paths lead to the same dirt road that leads gently downhill. Once you reach Malga Larici (Palaer?) Are the 200m path to the lookout duty. From this point you have a atembaraubenden view from 900m to Riva, Torbole, on the east bank, on Limone and on a clear day you can even see Sirmione on the southern shore of Lake Garda. Overwhelmed by the impressions begins a rapid descent to Pregasina. And in short, it is possible to Pregasina take a drink. The other departure is not so demanding. Shortly after Pregasina, just before the tunnel entrance (not & nbsp;! Entering the tunnel), turn right. This last part of the descent, on the old Ponale road, always offers bombastic views of the lake and its shores. You drive through some tunnels from up to Riva. From Riva to the point you go back unfortunately along busy roads, but there is at the edge throughout a rut. The tour can of course also run in the other direction. The view over the lake from the old Ponale road from Riva can of course be enjoyed uphill much much better. However, the climb to Passo Rocchetta - at least not uphill mobile for me - ie So about 30min slide! Also note that the last ship of Limone and Torbole my knowledge at 18: 45h travels. Notnagel is at 19: 35h to Riva. Last alternative is the regular highway - but bordering on suicide!
