Die Tour startet in Holzkirchen am Bahnhof (S-Bahn) und führt zunächst durch den Ort über Teerstrassen nach Osterwarngau. Ab dort geht es dann weiter im Wechsel über Waldwege, Forststraßen und wenig befahrene Teerstraßen bis zur Gindlalm. Der Autoverkehr hält sich sehr in Grenzen. Lediglich einmal ist die Staatsstraße 2067 Gmund - Hausham für ca. 150m zu befahren. Die Tour geht ausschließlich über befestigte Wege, keine Singletrails oder sonstige Schlamlöcher. Wer das Voralpenland mag kommt landschaftlich auch auf seine Kosten - über geschliffene Hügel und Täler durch kleine Waldgebiete und Weidelandschaft, vorbei an kleinen Weilern und Höfen. Die konditionelle Herausforderung liegt in den vielen kleinen aber teilweise starken Anstiegen zwischen Osterwarngau und Hausham. Darüber hinaus ist das Schlußstück, das von Hausham zur Gindlalm führt - je nach Konditionsstand - recht anspruchsvoll. Rastmöglichkeit gibt es beim Cafe Waldeck (Mb10 Hummelsberger Straße) Fazit: Eine Route, die eine Verbindung von der S-Bahnendhaltestelle Holzkirchen zum Alpenrand ist und nicht über vielbefahrene Straßen geht. Landschaftlich ansprechend, aber ohne Singletrails und hohe Berge.
