Diese Etappe wird noch einmal zur Herausforderung. Zum krönenden Abschluss geht es über das Kitzbühler Horn zum Routenziel Kitzbühel. Nach angenehmer Einrollphase folgt hinter Kössen ein erster Anstieg über den Klausenberg zur Hasenauer Alm. Von hier geht‘s hinunter nach Erpfendorf und entlang der Großache über Kirchdorf nach St. Johann. Mit dem Anstieg über den Reisenberg und die Reintalalm bis zum Alpenhaus knapp unterm Gipfel des Kitzbühler Horns fordert diese Bergwertung die letzten Reserven. Die steile Abfahrt über die asphaltierte Mautstraße nach Kitzbühel wird anschließend zum puren Vergnügen. Vom Dorfzentrum in Kössen bei der Kirche folgt man dem beschilderten Radweg ins Tal der Großache. Ein kurzes Stück geht es entlang der Straße Richtung Erpfendorf, ehe links der fast 400 Höhenmeter lange Anstieg über den Klausenberg zur Hasenauer Alm beginnt. Anschließend geht es auf einer Schotterstraße wieder flott bergab nach Erpfendorf (alternativ kann man auch im Tal auf dem Leukental-Radweg Nr. 20 bleiben). In Erpfendorf folgen wir dem Radweg Richtung St.Johann. Schließlich zweigt man vor St.Johann nach links Richtung Fieberbrunn ab und folgt dem Bike Trail Tirol bis Mühlbach. (alternativ könnte man hier kürzerund ohne weitere Höhenmeter auf dem Leukental-Radweg Nr. 20 direkt über St.Johann nach Kitzbühel gelangen). Hier beginnt nun der zähe, lange und sehr steile Aufstieg Richtung Kitzbüheler Horn. 1000 Höhenmeter gilt es dabei zu überwinden – eine letzte Herausforderung dieser langen Tour zum Abschluss. Oben angekommen, sollte man sich noch die Zeit nehmen, zu verschnaufen und das schöne Bergpanorama zu genießen. Es ist ein Moment, wie geschaffen, um das Erlebte der letzten Woche auf dieser Biketour quer durch Tirol Revue passieren zu lassen. Auf der Mautstraße geht es anschließend rasant zu Tal zum Etappenziel Kitzbühel, dem mondänen Urlaubsort in den Tiroler Alpen. http://touren.kitzbuehel.com
